How are the March Crowds?

Has anyone been to Disney in March? I am thinking of the week of March 15th. I normally go in October/November (not Thanksgiving) and it's great. I know March is peak season, but I am hoping it's not too crowded.

Also bus question. What is the best moderate with the best bus service. I know when I stayed at POR french quarter the buses would always stop here first and then go to the Riverside. People at the Riverside couldn't get seats. How are the buses at CBR?

Thanks!

Don't know much about the bussing, but when we stayed at CBR we took the bus a few times. Not being a patient person, I found it much easier to jump in the car & ride over to wherever. Also, depending on where you end up staying at CBR it can be quite the walk to the bus.

As far as March - every time that we went in mid-March it was wonderful - decent weather & lower attendance. Just check the calendar for Easter & the schools for spring break. If the 15th is before that you should be fine.

We also go in March for Spring Break. The weather is warm and usually sunny, very nice. The crowds are not awful. We use fastpass but the parks are not so crowded that you can't move, and getting a few last-minute PS's for dinners is actually possible. The resorts are busy but not crazy. Our Spring Break always covers St. Patrick's Day, so we are there the same time you are thinking of. I think it gets busier as it gets later in the month.

We usually drive so I can't help with the buses!

FYI - UCA cheer Nationals are being held at WDW from 3/12 - 3/16. Lots and Lots of cheerleaders are going to be there.

Hi, I must be the only one who disagrees. we were ther last March from 3/14 - 3/20. The weather was just spectacular, but the crowds were horrible. Up to 90 minute waits for most attractions. We, too always go in the fall, so have gotten very spoiled by the lower attendance. I personally would not go back in March. Even the pools were packed at our hotel (WL). It's impossible NOT to have a good time, but we didn't get to do half of what I'd hoped.

I have to agree with the previous poster...we were in disney ONCE in March...3/13-3/20 ( a birthday gift to me)..it was CROWDED. Too crowded for us! The weather was beatiful though. We have never returned in March. We have gone every month August thru January and have never experience the crowds as they were in March. I mean it is Disney & it was fun but would recommend the above months if you can swing it.

It's been three years ago, but we stayed at the All Stars the second week of March. The weather was beautiful and the crowds, though not small, was comparable to the first week of June, very manageable. There were cheerleaders there when we arrived on Sunday but they were gone on Monday. Bands were there too, also drill teams. We never had any problems. As for long lines we either used fast pass or didn't ride the ride at that time. There were only a few rides that had long waits (Space Mountain, Safari, just to name a couple).

I've been to WDW in Mid-March twice, and, as everyone has been saying, the weather has been great, and the crowds have been moderate. Keep in mind that a lot of colleges have their spring break during this time, so that will affect attendance slightly. It won't be mobbed, but the crowds will be slightly larger than during peak season. Overall, it's a great time to go!

We were there 3/15-3/25 in 2001--we live in the South and our spring break is generally around Easter (which was mid-April that year), so we thought that it would be a good time to go--you know, before Easter crowd. Boy, were we wrong. The parks were very crowded--but not a problem with good planning. Our major problem was transportation. We stayed at POR (we had stayed here on a previous trip without problems) and the bus service was poor in the fact that we were packed like sardines every time, especially at park closing. It is really hard to stand in a long line with two tired children, and finally have it be your turn to board the bus, only to find that it is standing room only. BUT....we still had a wonderful trip, just probably will not choose to visit at that time of year again...too crowded and peak price. We are going in Oct. this year---hope we will find it to be less crowded.
