How Are The Crowds???

This maybe the last time i get on here before we head to the world later this week, so I just wanted a final update of the crowds.
Ive read that its still been quite busy and just wanted to know if that had dropped over the past couple of days.
So anyone thats been in the parks over the past couple of days, how long are the waits for things like Splash, TOT, MS, TT etc?? your comments would be appreciated!

We just got back on Monday after a week's stay. the crowds were not bad at all. Average. We also seemed to hit the crowds just right. We did the reverse EMH strategy, especially since my family isn't the early morning type & I'd rather have rested kids. Hope that helps, Maggie

I was at WDW (Epcot and MGM) yesterday, and the crowds were manageable. It's a great time to enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. MGM had early entry yesterday, and it was more crowded than Epcot.

Just back today after 8 days. Expected the worst, we were pleasantly surprised. Our strategy: go to the park the day after EMH, arrive at opening, use fastpass. We never waited more than 10 for anything. The 'streets' were filled with people, but no problem for most rides if played right. Certainly we saw waits of up to 45-60 minutes by mid afternoon for the popular rides, but we had already done those by that time and focused on shows or the less popular rides then. The only fatpass we saw run out were pooh and buzz. (we did not go to MGM). As a matter of fact we went on BTMR yesterday at 1:00, it had a 10 minute wait, but we used a fastpass that we had. We then walked on Splash. It said a 15 minute wait but it was a walk on! Really! You will have a great time. While I'm rambling, I'd like to mention, watch those line queues! I can't tell you how many times there would be 2 lines open, and people just follow whoever is in front of them. Yesterday, IASW had 2 lines open. the right backed all the way to the top, the left was a walk on. I feel a little guilty walking right by all those folks same with pirates, we walked on while the other side had a 10 minute wait. At AK on Saturday at 1:00 primeval and triceratop were walk on also. Have a blast!

Just got back last night and the crowds are getting better than they were last week. We skipped Peter Pan because the wait was 45-60 minutes and they were out of FP by the afternoon. Waits were mostly 20-30 minutes for popular rides, we got FP for them all and then later in the evening did Splash 3 times in a row and wouldn't even have had to get off in between except we had to check our picture each time to see which one was the best (DD and DS couldn't agree so we got two). MGM was great on Monday, not crowded and very pleasant (practically walked on RnR). DQ was also not at all crowded on Sunday, we didn't have to wait for anything.

Massachusetts and Maine were down there last week through Sunday the 25th. Hoping all the stragglers that took the extra week are there this week and will thin out by the time I get there Tuesday the 4th!!!!!

Hi. Just got back from WDW yesterday. On Sun 4/25 at MGM studios, the place seemed empty to me. We strolled around, never waiting for anything, even to meet characters. Great weather too. Mon 4/26 at MK, crowds were definitely bigger than at MGM, but not too bad at all.

I echo the earlier poster about MK. Granted, since our kids are 5, 3 and 5 mos., we were not trying to do Space Mtn or other big kid/adult rides. But our longest wait of the whole day was 10 minutes, for Dumbo. We followed the "Touring Plan for Small Children" that is linked on the DIS and it was awesome. We walked on to most rides and used fastpass wisely. I also felt a bit guilty about walking by all of those standby folks on Winnie the Pooh, Buzz, etc. but they could have used FP too, I suppose. We got to see every one of our must-sees by mid-day, and the rest was just gravy.

Tuesday morning at AK, I was surprised at the crowd hightailing it over to KS. Still the wait was onlly about 10 minutes, if not less. Then Lion King Show: we had to wait until the showtime, but that is to be expected. Went back to MK in afternoon and found crowds to be moderate and manageable.

Don't worry about crowds this week. Figure out what you don't want to miss, make sure to use Fastpass whenever possible, and you'll have a great time!
