Just wondering, if any one is there today, Easter Sunday. How are the crowds in the parks? Did any close today?

Thanks

Today we went to the Animal Kingdom from the Poly by bus with a stop at Blizzard Beach. It was noon and there was a sign at Blizzard Beach that it was full and would reopen for entry again at 2. there was also a sign saying Typhoon Lagoon was open for entry.

However, Animal Kingdom was not crowded at all. We had no need for a FastPass for anything. No waiting for rides in Dinoland at all, walk on for Kilmanjaro safaris, Kali River Rapids was the longest wait - about 20 minutes. Ate at the Tusker house at 3 and it was all but empty.

I suspect many people went to the Magic Kingdom today. It's closing at 11 PM tonight so we are headed over at about 8. we expect less waiting from 8 - 11 - families got there early and will be headed out.

Thanks for posting this question...that is why I logged on. I was going to post a thread about the same thing. Thanks for asking and I will look forward to all the replies.

Just back tonight...Wednesday and Thursday were totally wild at every park we went to (we hit EPCOT, MK and MGM), but as odd as it sounds Friday, although busy seemed better and yesterday was very do-able at the MK in the AM... we left at 1PM and returned for dinner at the Crystal Palace about 8 and my teens stayed until closing at midnight (us old folks pooped out about 10:30)...it was full of people, but ride waits were not bad at all.

Today we did EPCOT until noon and it was by FAR the quietest we had seen it all week.

What will the crowds be like next week larger or much smaller ? Dh says if its crowded he is not going into the parks.:(

Wow-- I can't believe some of the parks were actually quiet on Easter. I think many people might plan a down day to avoid crowds.

magicmouse2-- once we hit the end of this week, you should begin to notice a huge difference in the crowds. However, for the first part of this week, very possibly right to the end, you'll still notice decent crowds throughout.

My son and I went to Epcot yesterday. We had planned to EE at MK, but we over slept. We got to Epcot around 12:00. The crowds we're not to bad. Of course test track had an hour wait. Mission space was over an hour, single rider was 50 minutes. We used a fast past we got on April 4, so we only waited about 10 minutes.

We picked up a fast past from test track to use on our next trip and got a surprise FP for body wars. :bounce:

We were able to walk right on body wars so we'll use the FP on our next trip.

Hi disneyjunkie (which btw, I am too!!),

I didn't know that the fast passes were good indefinitely. Did you ever have trouble using an old one? I threw some away on our last trip because we missed the window! Guess that was a mistake...

I never had a problem using the old FP. I even used a few from 2001.

We arrived about noon after sleeping in this morning. We got a fastpass for RNR as soon as we got there with a return time for 2:50. Since we couldn't get a fastpass for TOT, we opted to wait in line for that - just under an hour. No line for Star Tours by about 4 PM and also got a fastpass for Indiana Jones 4:15 show. Had to leave by 6 to make it to Hoop De Doo Review.

Went to MK last night at 8Pm - it was still crowded but thinned out very quickly when the thunderstorm hit. Space Mountain did say 60 minute wait but we waited on 30 minutes. Got a fastpass for Buzz when we first got to the park so hit that after Space Mountain. Did Pirates of the Carribean just before 10 - we were the only ones in our boat. Got out just as Wishes was starting - Adventureland was dead at that time.

Blizzard Beach tomorrow - we are hoping for light crowds due to it being a Tuesday with light rain forecast for the morning. We are from the Northwest so a little light rain (warm I might add) won't bother us. And the forecast is for sun by afternoon.

Alll in all, we've had very few crowd issues - the most I saw was at MGM today but thinned out quickly just as 4PM hit. Our strategy will continue to be later in the day - we are not early morning people and all parks are open fairly late.
