I might be going at this time if I can come up with the money!!!!!!!!
Are the crowds light at this time???
My sister is going there for a seminar and I would love to meet her there with the kids!!!!!!
Thanks for the help!

Last year, the crowds were very light, and the decorations were amazing.

Thanks!!!!!! I was hoping that was the answer. I guess I will go buy some lotto tickets & hope for the best!!!!!!!

I hope that they will be light because I'll be there then, too!

This is a 40th birthday surprise trip for me, given to me by my wonderful husband and kids. My birthday was at the end of May but we decided to wait and see the Christmas decorations -- our trip is Nov. 29 ( which is my DD's 7th birthday!) thru Dec. 5.

From what I've been reading, the Pop Warner groups (which will be there at that time) do not really affect the crowd size much, but the budget resorts will be full and loud.

We have gone to WDW early Dec. each year since 1992. The crowds were very light our first few years and then started to get larger. When 9/11 came along the crowds were tiny during early Dec. 2001 and have picked-up since. We all have different ideas of small and large crowds so don't expect almost empty parks. You will be arriving on a Friday, so for the weekend the crowds should be the busiest of your stay. If you have been to WDW during the busy seasons then the crowds in early Dec. will be very manageable for you.

We love this time of year at WDW, the comfortable weather and Christmas decorations are great.

Did this week two years ago crowds were great weather was good overall I only packed one fleece zip up sweat shirt for a jacket and I should have had something heavier. We had one really cold wet day at AK.

We have gone early December the past 3 years and it has been great. The Christmas decorations are up, not crowded at all and weather still is warm. We will be there Dec. 2 this year.

Was there that time last week, wasn't as bad as I thought, BUT I believe this is becoming quite popular with the DVC members. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and the lights in MGM (forget the name of who does them) are my idea of walking into (Christmas) heaven. WOW.

Hopefully this year will be my 8th year in a row for that time of the year, right after Thanksgiving. Weather is great, crowds are historically low, resort rates are value season and the Christmas decorations, special activities and events are stunning to say the least. Here are attendance thoughts... http://allearsnet.com/pl/attend.htm

I was there from 12/1 to 12/5 this past year. In general crowds were much smaller than in the summer when we usually visit. Do keep in mind they're usually filming the Christmas parade for ABC during that time so on certain days and times MK can be much busier. THe other difference is some of the decorations may be in different places due to the filming. For example, the Christmas tree that's usually at the end of Main Street, in front of the train station. Since that's where the broadcast "booth" was for the parade the tree spent a few days between the castle and Tomorrowland. Then magically (overnight) it moved to its rightful spot!

Here's the tree in its temporary home - you can see Cosmic Ray's in the background
