How are the crowds and weather in late April?

I just booked our timeshare for late April '07. What are the crowds and weather like at WDW this time of year? The only other times I have been were in early March and late September, when the crowds and weather (except for Hurricane Jeane making landfall on our first day) were fantastic. I have 24 hours to cancel and put my name on the waiting list for March. Is April a good time to go?

Hi there, we are going the same time. Cool. We also went in late april 2006 and found it quite manageable. Fast passes were necessary but we saw all major attractions and did not have to wait much more than 30 minutes sans fast pass. The weather was unbelievable. Little to no rain and warm days. We loved it so much we are planing another trip for april 2007.

I went late April and didn't like it. I don't remember ride waits being too bad, but the food and concession lines were terrible. It was just a short trip, so that didn't help, and there were LOTS of school groups in both Epcot and MK (not grads - we didn't notice them, even though we were there on grad night).

We have gone in April twice... once 3rd week and once 4th week and both times we were able to do all we wanted. On our last trip in 2005 which was 4th week, the weather was warm (80's) and comfortable. We had rain one evening. We did BB one day and the longest we had to wait for anything was maybe 15 minutes tops. I think we got lucky that day since it rained a little in the morning around 8am and that may have kept some people away. For the parks, the crowds were manageable. The worst was Sunday at the MK. At about noon we ditched MK and headed to Epcot. It was wall to wall people down Main Street.
