How are the crowds after midnight with extra magic hours

We were at Disney Oct 6 - 9 and one night the MK had extra magic hours. I guess that means it was open till about 2am. How many people have stayed in the park that late and whats it like? Do alot of people take advantage of this?

We did it when we were there in June and it was great, no waiting and almost noone there! Walked right on what we wanted to.

We done the same thing on our trip of August-September. We've read all the postd\\s saying to shun the parks with EMH's but tend to find out for ourselves. Granted at the opening of EMH it tends to be rushed and crowded, don't go at the start, after the first hour the parks seem to wean out and by the end there are hardly any folks left. We generally like the MK and staying in the park after mid-night is awesome, makes for a long day but we hit a park that day till around 1 pm, take our pool resort break, do some shopping and relaxing, knowing we're going back kind a late and staying long. Never avoid a park with EMH's, try it yourself, if its not to your liking you can just leave, if you don't go, you'll never know!

I was there in beginning of July this year, there was a day when the MK was open until 1 am and the EMH was until 4am... we were there until about 3:30... there was no one there at all. If you can stay awake that late, and don't mind sleeping in the next morning its a great time to be in the park.

Never took advantage of it, but plan to on our upcoming trip.

WE try to close MK all the time with late EMHs. The July 4th weeks, we sued them all the time and it was great. By 12:20/1:00 am the crowds start really getting thin. On July 3rd, it was a 4 am close time. Needless to say we could basically walk on everything by the end of the day, due to a ride malfunction at Space Mt, we left the park at 4:30 AM!!!! It was very neat to see about 15 people in the park who were not workers. And they, the workers, out numbered us by many as they wer already preparing for the July 4th early opening.

Yes, take a nap (if you must) and stay up!!!

Excellent, I'll definitely work this into my plans for June if the crowds will be lower.

I didnt realize the park would be open til 4am! I definetly want to do this for our next trip. I would love to walk around the park with just a few people in it. I guess then the boats and monorails and busses are still running at that time.

What about Christmas? We will be there from Dec 23 thru Jan 2 and We are all nightowls so I am planning (hoping) to let the early birds do their thing and hit all the late night EMH. We are going to avoid the parks during the day so I hope that they clear out some late at night.
