Is it worth the extra points for the other views.

The standard view category is consistently one of the first ones to get booked due to the low points cost, so often (depending on the season) whether it's worth it or not, when booking at Aulani one has to be prepared to move up a category or 2 (unless its your home resort and you have that 11 month booking window advantage).

Check out the pictures on the first post of the "Aulani Villas and Views" thread and see for yourself if you think its worth it:

We have been 3 times. Ask for Ewe building 9th floor and above ocean and pool view. I love looking over pool and lazy river into ocean. Personally I think it is well worth extra points. You can sit on lanai, , look st ocean, have a drink and listen to music from bar below. After a long day at pool and beach it is perfect.

We had a standard view 2bdrm last Oct and loved it. I did my research on here and requested a high floor in the Ewa tower. Our room overlooked the Starlit Hui lawn and had a peek at the ocean. Very rarely did we ever sit on our balcony since we were up early and exploring the resort. I'd say it depends on how much time you think you'll spend in your room/balcony. We were happy we saved the points.

We've had standard, pool, and ocean views. I really think high pool views are totally worth it. The really high ocean views are a little too high for my taste. But if it's your only time visiting, I'd recommend getting at least a pool view (and request a higher floor).
