How are the amenities?

Is it true the hotels recently switched to Ivory soap? I hope not. Our last four stays were at the Dolphin & Swan and they have wonderful products, but this year we thought we would try the Wilderness Lodge.

They didn't switch to Ivory, as long as I can remember the official WDW soap has always been Ivory

I'll bring my Dove with me...cannot stand Ivory...my husband is highly allergic.

Same here Brando, everyone in my family will have a rash from Ivory...so Dove it is.

I just came back from a stay in the Yacht Club (concierge level service). The soap was indeed Ivory, but I never use it anyway!! I bring my own.

I always bring my own stuff anyway...that and shampoo.... I have to have my own shampoo & my own conditioner.

Much to my dismay... VWL also had Ivory soap this past Dec. So soap is on our list of things to bring.
I cannot stand Ivory soap. What were they thinking?

I agree. I always take shampoo and conditioner but it's great to be introduced to a nice soap or moisturizer (something you wouldn't normally use).

We had Mickey soap at OKW in January, but it wasn't Ivory. It didn't float.

I agree Muushka. With the costs involved at the onsite hotels, a nice soap and coffee would be welcome. We always go to the Dolphin for coffee during our stay!

I'm disappointed that the WDW resorts use Ivory soap. The resorts are expensive and guests deserve high quality amenities. I'm going to the WDW for the first time in September and staying at the Poly. It is very expensive and while I am not expecting the Ritz, I do expect a certain level of comfort and amenities. Ivory soap just does not cut it. I have stayed at less expensive hotels that offered Molten Brown and other high end toiletries. I'm especially shocked that WDW does not offer better toiletries to its concierge guests.
