How are crowds week before July 4th?

We may have the opportunity to move our trip up two weeks and I was wondering how the crowds are the week before July 4th? It seemed to not be that bad because the WL was booked solid every week except this week. Is this any indication that the crowds MAY be a little lower since i think most will arrive on the 3rd, when we depart.

We are going the week before 7/4 also. I hope you are right, and it is not too crowded.

We are going the same week. We leave on the 2nd. I hope the crowds are lower. I have never gone in the summer so I think I am in for a shock!

We will be there that week too! (June 26-July 3) Last year we were there the last week of July and although it was crowded, it was tolerable. Hoping for the best and knowing we will have a gerat time regardless!

We're going that week too! I was afraid it would be packed but you gave me some hope that it won't be too bad

We went the week before last year and i found the crowds managable. MK seemed to be the most crowded while we were there. If you find the park you are in is crowded HOP !!!

Just a little more encouragement, I was able to book a few more days at the beginning of my trip. Meaning WL still had woods view rooms available almost a whole week prior, making it the two weeks before the 4th.

We have been going, for the past four years, in the week prior to and including 7/4. It has always been a great time to go. Sure, it's crowded and hot, but usually all the attractions and parades are up and hours are at full summertime schedule. As long as you plan well, it will be a great time to go!

We will be there also (June 22 - July 5). We normally go at the end of May/early June, so I have no clue how the crowds will be. I am assuming big. All of the news channels are reporting larger than expected vacationers this summer.

Since this thread seems to have evolved into listing all those who are going just before the fourth, put us on the list too. we're going to WL this week also (6/26 - 7/2) and I can't wait. I've never went at this time of year, but it couldn't be worse crowd wise than August when we usually go. Besides, we can always escape back the WL to relax. Love that place.

We'll be there, hopefully. I know crowds will be big, as we typically go in summer, I just found it odd that when we decided to move it up, there were no rooms at WL to be had except for these two weeks and they had everything but standard.

We'll be there too - June 25 - July 3rd. Staying at AKL and YC. Its been six years since we've been to WDW so we are really looking forward to it! First time saying onsite too!
