How are crowds over Labor Day?

We are planning a trip next year over labor day. How are the crowds. We were in WDW this year during this same time and could not believe how low crowd level was. It has been a few years since we were at Disneyland and would love to see all the changes.

We went the Wed to Friday before Labor Day to DL and DCA. The park had very low crowds and other than RSR most ride waits were 5 - 20 minutes. Friday night in DL the crowds definitely started to come in and ride times changed to 30-45 minutes.

The 1/2 Marathon is also that weekend. More locals run it than at WDW, but people still come in for the weekend. It's a little crowded, but not crazy like a summer weekend.

We came in just after Labor day this year (and it was pretty busy) but last year we were there on Labor day and it was incredibly busy. The Friday was manageable but everyday after ended up being busier. On the Monday I couldn't deal with the massive crowds anymore and went back to the hotel.

I guess how busy it is is all subjective, but I really, really do not enjoy the parks when it's really busy (the labor day I was there everything was at least a 30-40 min wait and you practically had to walk single file through big portions of the park), that on top of the crazy heat was not enjoyable for me at all. I don't know how people do it over Christmas with those crowds.

I'm definitely not going back at Labor day again though lol.
