How are crowds in mid-August?

There's a chance that I may be able to go on a little trip to WDW around august the 12th. Do the crowds start to dwindle by then?

I doubt that we'll be able to do all the parks, so, which park would be less crowded then, or are they about the same crowd-wise?

We went last year mid-August, and the crowds overall were not too bad. For the most part, the kids in the South go back to school right around that time.

The parks were fine early in the morning, but MK would get the most crowded by late morning/early afternoon.

Have fun and don't forget to drink lots of water! It's very HOT in August!

Many schools will re-open on Monday the 14th, so crowds will be lighter the rest of August.

We were there last August 15 - 19. Get there when the park opens and you can literally do everything you really want in the first 2 hours. Parks get really crowded by 12 - go back to the hotel for a swim, or nap, and then back to the park, or a different park, by 4 or 5:00. Brink a mister fan and refill it with cold water often throughout the day. Drink lots of water and enjoy it. We had a blast!
