how are crowds in early-mid January?

DBF and I booked our stay at ASMo for January 7-January 13 2008. How are the crowds around this time? I figured it would be a good time since many children will be going back to school after their holiday breaks but when I called and reserved our room, POP was already sold out for those dates and ASSp was almost sold out so that worries me a little. I don't mind a little bit of a crowd but I don't want to be stuck in lines all day either. thanks

I went the same week two years ago and it was DEAD. I freakin' loved it!!! We walked onto everything, now I always want to go in January. It was cold though, but it was worth it having no crowds!

We went to WDW in January 2004 and 2005. Obviously the weather isn't hot but it was comfortable. Some days you could wear shorts but other days you needed a light jacket. The nights were especially cool. As for crowds, we had no problems. No real long waits at rides. But we still took advantage of the FASTPASS. It's Disney World. It will always be busy. We did learn on our trip in 2004, that you should not book your trip on a holiday weekend. Martin Luther King day is in January and boy, did the park fill up on the weekend. We didn't know what was going on! We are from Canada. So now, when we book our Disney trips, we check our calendar to make sure we will not be there when there is an American holiday. January 12-13, 2008 is marathon weekend at WDW. I have never been during that time but I have heard it gets pretty crowded.
