How are crowds and LL since no ressies anymore?

I went to WDW last December and was happily surprised that crowds weren't crazy because there were reservations to limit the number of people per day and I understood the genie plus system. I was able to get at least 12 genie plus rides each day, granted not all of them were tier 1 type things, I typically started at MK and then hopped to EP or started at HS and hopped to MK. I have read how the new system works and wondering how it has been going for everyone recently. Are lightning lanes harder to get? Running out early? Do the crowds seem worse than when they had ressies? Any advice or thoughts?

Our family was there in late Aug and crowds were great. Lines were busy for headliners as expected but many others were manageable.

Crowds and lines will really depend on when you’re planning to go.

I don’t even think I make it to 12 rides that offer LLs a day unless it’s a full day at MK lol. (Characters are no longer LL btw.) Doubt you’ll be hitting 12 LLs every day but if you hit it hard and use LL at rides that have no need for it then maybe. Follow Oct and Thanksgiving time on the LL chatter thread here. The system has yet to be stressed because it premiered during a slowish time and has only run during a slow time. Crowds should ramp into Oct and then again at Thanksgiving then we’ll have real data.

By Dec of last year the reservation system for general tickets was an absolute joke. Anyone could get a reservation whenever they wanted it. Crowds haven’t changed since they did away with it if you are comparing to the crowds during its final months. (Disney now manages capacity by limiting the amount of tickets sold based on date and requiring non-date based tickets to use a reservation system, so it’s not like they returned to 2019.)
