How Annoying is this?

We have 6 nights planned in Nov/Dec. 2 nights at 3 different resorts. Thinking Ft Wilderness Cabin (not booked yet) first 2 nights, WLV next 2, SSR last 2.

There's really no changing the last 4 nights as DVC is totally booked.

It is what it is but I'm just wondering how terrible it'll be moving around?

Anyone with a similar experience?

We have no kids, but we are doing 1 night at bonnet creek, 2 nights at dolphin, 2 nights at POR due to availability at rates we were willing to pay for our next trip in sept.

Not a big deal for us-- and since you're moving within disney property, just take a backpack to pack what you need for the day and have them move your luggage. If you've got a car, it's even easier.

We do split stays all the time and have enjoyed so many resorts because of that. However, I feel that anything less than 3 nights per resort is pushing it. Not only does that mean your moving so often only days apart, but with only 2 nights not sure how much you'll really get out of each resort. I would try to do 3 nights at 2 resorts instead of 2 nights at 3 resorts, but that's just my opinion.

We love split stays and, assuming bell services does not misplace any of your luggage (which is about the only thing I worry about when doing these), I personally don't see your plans as problematic.

But we often take vacations where we change hotels frequently and, in that regard, never really unpack our suitcases (just finished a trip out West where we stayed in 7 different places over 11 nights). So, for us, it's no big deal to do the same thing at Disney.

Along those lines, I've never understood why some see it as a problem to be "homless" duirng a resort transfer day. As PP mentioned, simply check your luggage with bell services, take a backpack with what you need for the day into a park, and then check into the new resort in the middle of the afternoon (which is the same time we'd go back to the resort if we were staying at the same place the whole time).

Not terrible at all. Bell services does all the work. Just pack so you don't have to open 4 suitcases every night. Instead of packing a suitcase for each person, pack everything for FTW in one suitcase, everything for WLV in another, etc.

Two moves in one week would be too much for me. But I am kind of lazy and disorganized. I'm sure there is a way to do it where you don't lose much time!

How old are your children? The days you'll be checking out/in you might be without a room for much of the midday (DVC rooms may not be ready until 4:00). I could see doing one room change, but for a 6 night stay, twice would be too much for me.

we are going to try a 6 night/3 night split and i am a little stressed about it but your plan would give me full on anxiety!

I wouldn't do a split for 6 days. But if I really wanted to I'd stick to 2 resorts. One of our trips we did a lot of splits, for a universal/SeaWorld trip, and really, I didn't like it, and wouldn't do it again.

I just found it exhausting, and didn't feel like we really got a good feel for any resort. It just felt like a series of check in, check outs.

I do like splits, but on longer stays.
