How and where do you go horseback riding at WDW?

Hi! I don't know if the horseback riding is included in the gold package but I can tell you about it!

It takes place at FW stables and there are certain ride times - I can't remember exactly. The phone number is 407-WDW-PLAY. My family did it - myself, dh and dd (10 at the time). My dd rides so it was was not exciting for her but for me it was just the right speed - slooooow!! A guide goes with you and children must wear helmets - a bike helmet is fine. You should also wear long pants and closed toe shoes.

The horses are "bombproof" and know the "routine" - they don't vary from it! My dd wanted to trot or canter but the horses only walk - thank goodness for me and dh! It was a nice ride and we enjoyed the path that is followed.

We probably won't do it again because we bought a horse for our dd - who is now 13 - and she has become a better rider since then and would probably be very bored now!

It was a nice family activity and we will treasure the memory

how long was the trail ride? And what could you see from the trail?

The trail ride was about 30-45 min. - I really can't remember except that it was just the right amount of time! The trail goes throught the woods - so all you see are trees, trees and more trees - nothing very exciting but very peaceful.
