How and when to add days to a 2-Day Parkhopper?

I bought my husband a 2-Day PH for our upcoming trip since he's attending a convention while we're there and had not thought he would be able to be in the parks much. Now we think he should be able to spend some evenings with us. So, how do I add a few days to a 2-Day PH? Does anyone know how much this will cost? Thank you!

Right at the main entrance ticket windows, but before the last day of the ticket. Typically they'll have an upgrade value, and you'll need to pay the difference. I've heard that (for instance) CityPASS tickets have an upgrade value of a 3-day PH even though the face value is less than the retail price. So the difference paid would be the difference between the ticket and a 3-day PH.

Did you buy the tickets through the convention? Convention rate tickets usually say on them that they can't be upgraded. If they're convention rate, I'd call the number on the ticket purchase page and ask what your options are. Maybe you can exchange the unused ticket or purchase a twilight ticket, which would be more than adding a day, but a possible fix.

I bought all of our tickets through AAA. The convention was only going to sell twilight tickets for 1 evening. I knew that would not be enough .

You should be able to upgrade. If the tickets have the free parking perk then you'll lose it on his ticket, but if the rest came from AA you should be ok.

Another place to ask is City Hall. They told me they could upgrade somet tickets but not all. Ours were the plastic ones that come with a package, so they could not upgrade there, and we had to go out to the ticket booth anyway.

Still, no complaints because I wouldn't have known about upgrading at all if not for the Dis Boards.
