How am I supposed to...

...work on a Christmas present for DH, when I have no idea what time DH is going to get home? He usually works rather late on Wed nights, but he never answered me today about whether he's got that lab duty tonight or not. So he could be home early (he was last night) or his usual late time.

I guess I could always work on it in my craft room, but I have no TV or radio there, and I'd go crazy trying to work on it in there without something to listen to or watch. (yeah, I'm spoiled. So )

You could always call him under the guise of wanting him to bring home milk or bread or something and ask when he would be coming home? Or maybe you could just bolt the front door?

Well, I've already tried calling him 3 times but, as always, he's not at his desk. I also tried paging him, but he either didn't get the page, is ignoring the page, or isn't wearing his pager.

He's the hardest person I know to get ahold of.

As for bolting the front door... he'll just unlock it. Best I could do that way is lock the bedroom door so I can throw the blanket (one of those fleece ones) under the bed, but then he'd wonder why the bedroom door was locked and me in there obviously doing nothing.

I am in the same boat as you. Last year I did a fleecy banket and he came in and said "Who's that for? " I told him it was for my brother, and boy was he bummed out. Hee hee hee! He got over it on Christmas when he opened the gift!! But he was still all confused He actually said "Why did you give me Nick's gift?" Men!

LOL! Well, I finally reached him and turns out he could be home as soon as 30 minutes or as late as 2 hours. Since there's no guessing and the shortest time period is just long enough for me to get the stuff out, looks like I'm going to have to figure out some other time to work on it.

I'll just work on my IL's gift instead. I need to finish that, too.
