I doubt their executives use their inside team exclusively, unfortunately. I know for a fact that they use at least one—McKinsey. I suspect they use others too. I wish they were self-reliant. But you have to remember you are dealing with deeply insecure, incompetent people who did not get where they are because they were the best for the job. Those types of people do not just look to consultants for information, they also go for ego stroking. Above all management consultants are salespeople and they are very good at making management feel important.

I have a top level “manager” working with me for my daughter’s Quinceañera, being held at a flagship property mind you…she has shown herself to be unfriendly, incompetent, and unfit for her position! It’s very sad considering I expected unparalleled top notch service with this joyous event. It’s the main reason I chose Disney in the first place.
I’m almost certain if I would have gone with a local “5 star” resort I would be experiencing better service at better pricing. I’m very disheartened with this process.
 
:rotfl2: Once I hit the RCI sentence everything was disregarded. Their attention to members and details is pretty bad. It's been a few days since I was on the booking but does it still cover that they won't allow check in's on Sept 30th due to the hurricane? And the pandemic reponses - slowly reopening etc have also remained up.
Of course I could care less if the website functioned well.

That could easily be the result of the pandemic layoffs when a good many experienced, dedicated CMs retired or left for more rewarding jobs elsewhere.

I suspect there are way more new CMs or CMs who got promoted to their level of incompetence working there now. If sketchy training to get them out there to reduce staffing shortages isn't a major factor, I'd be surprised indeed.

Sounds like that might be "promoted to incompetent." No telling which, of course, and finding out doesn't resolve your problem.

I'd be contacting the department to ask if there's someone else available, that you feel there's a personality conflict with this CM.
 
Meh. Doesn't bother me. Seems more informative than rude to me. And we already know that Disney doesn't like resale.
they prob hate the ones like me the most for resale that got in before restrictions and still have the blue cards. I like all the money in my pocket vs theirs. that's for sure.

I’m sure they hate me too- all of our points are resale except 25- grandfathered in so we have the blue card. 😂

I'm glad I didn't have to do that direct small sale to keep my blue card. the less I need to give them the better.
