Hey everyone,
We recently found out that we were expecting...YEA!! The only bad thing is we have a camping trip that same weekend @ FW. I wanted to see if anyone has ever switched trips with anyone else. I really wanted to go on Halloween, we have a two yr old that would LOVE to trick or treat with Mickey Mouse, but I realize it's booked. Any suggestions?? Should I continue on checking every morning to see about a cancellation? I also wanted to see if anyone has ever stayed at the local campsites and just come over for trick or treating...we weren't sure how packed the overflow parking was on that particular night. We are pass-holders, so we thought of that idea as well. We do have other reservations we could transfer the deposit, but would rather come another time. So much for planning a year in advance...lol!! Thanks for the suggestions!!!

When are you due? I'm going to the Fort in 15 days :cool1: but I'll be 7 1/2 months preg. If your still able to go and have fun before the baby gets here,...I'd say go....but if your due around that time then I totally understand! Good luck! and CONGRATS:banana:

Getting in the parking lot that night would be a hard thing to do. Keep calling, someone will cancel between now and then.

I am not 100% clear on what you are asking, exactly.

But, if you were told that the Fort is fully booked for Halloween 2009, and no campsites are available, then you got bad info.

I just checked on the disneyworld.com website, and if put in a request for a campsite arriving on 10/28 and leaving on 11/4, you will be offered the choice of either a premium or partial hook up site. So the Fort is not fully booked for Halloween. Yet.

If you just want to go for the weekend, go ahead and book the 7 days anyway, and then call back and cancel the days you don't need (I don't think you can do this on-line). Your deposit is the same regardless of the length of your reservation-the cost of a one night stay. This is what I have to do sometimes to get the dates I want. I don't know why the system is set up this way, but I go with it, and it works for me.

I called for Halloween and they said none available, I went online and booked and got reservation #. I then called and got AAA discount and site request/preminum pet.
