We had alot of pixie dust this past trip so I was thinking we need a new pixie dusted at Disney thread. I tried to search back to any of the old ones, but search wouldn't let me find any of them. Anyway, here are mine from the past trip this past week.

On our first night there, we had gone to MNSSHP. We had to go to Guest Services to pick up our tickets, they had mailed them but we never got them so it took a few minutes to research them and pull up new ones. Next thing I know, my girls are talking to a CM at the window next to us. A few minutes later I hear my older dd telling her how to spell her name. And they come over to us with a coupon for free ice cream for all 5 of us. What a great treat on our way out of MNSSHP, Mickey Ice Cream bars for free!

The second day, my girls had been to Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique that morning and we were at Contemporary eating lunch at the food court. A more dressed up CM came over to my girls and made a big fuss over them and asked them for their autograph. In return, they received a coupon for any free dessert they each wanted from the food court, of course all 3 of my kids picked those huge cupcakes.

The same day, my dh and ds had gone back to the hotel to nap after lunch and the girls and I went to Toon Town in MK to see the princesses. We came out and I was buying princess earrings for dd in the judges tent and a CM came up to them and asked if they would make Potato Heads of the Day for her. So they had a great time decorating Potato Heads and then the CM put them up on the top shelf next to a sign saying they were the Potato Heads of the day and gave them certificates.

This next one was Pixie Dust from another boardie. The next day, we headed to the magical beginnings EMH in Fantasyland and saw Tinkerbells Treasures. So we went in to see if anyone had woken up Tink yet. A family was there (we had actually met them at our hotel that morning waiting for the MK bus), a mom and dad and their little girl had just asked to wake her up. So I told my girls they could watch. So the mom tells my girls to go wake up Tink with her daughter! I thought that was so sweet. So they woke her up and got certificates....

The last pixie dust moment was that same morning. My kids played with Peter Pan and Wendy for awhile and Peter asked my girls if they would like to ride his ride with him. They chickened out but my ds who before this moment did NOT like faced characters decided he really liked Peter Pan and he wanted to ride with him. My ds had never even been on that ride before. So he and Peter rode the ride together and I rode in the boat behind them. I could see them at every turn, my ds was holding onto the bar with a huge smile on his face and Peter was pointing things out to him. What a magical moment!

So those were my pixie dust moments from our last trip... anyone else?

Today was our first full day here and we have already had soooo many pixie dust moments.

My dd's 4th bday is tomorrow so she went to City Hall to get her birthday button. The lady at the counter gave her four sheets of Mickey stickers to match her age.

Then we went to Little Ones EMH and it was sooo wonderful. My dd got to ride WTP with Pooh and then afterwards he "sang" Happy Birthday to her. At lunch at Pinocchio's the CM gave her a free milkshake for her birthday. The barbershop quartet sang Happy Birthday to her on Main Street. And then on our boat ride from POR to DTD the driver had everyone sing to her and made her his co-pilot. And this has just been our first day. I can only imagine how the next five days will go.

This PD moment is from my solo trip back in July. I was staying at Pop and had a dinner reservation at Boma for 8PM. AK closed at 7 that day, but I figured I could still get the bus to AK (due to returning visitors) and from AK take the bus to AKL. Naturally I was the only person at the Pop bus stop for AK at 6:55 PM. The driver asked if I knew the park was closing--and did I have dinner reservations at RainForest? I said I had a reservation at Boma, and wasn't this a good way to get there. He said yes. Next thing I know, we are pulling up at AKL! :goodvibes

So nice to hear about all of these magical moments. Please keep sharing them...DBF is still not sure why I chose Disney for our vacation...

We just got back and had a few...

On arrival, we got a water view room (paid for standard). It was a small but nice surprise. Didn't request anything specific. The CM that checked us in was wonderful.

At dinner at Tony's on Sunday night, the waiter had sent a request for the chef to come talk to my sister (who has food allergies). It took a while for him to come - he was really busy. Though we just kept talking and though I know it took a while, we weren't in a hurry and didn't think anything of it. It was probably about 20 minutes, and we couldn't order until the chef had talked to my sister. Not something I would have complained about - like I said, we were not in a hurry, and were talking about the kid's day (I had worked at a convention at CSR that day and just met up with my kids and my sister). The chef came, then the waiter took our order. Not much later, the manager came to the table and apologized for the long delay, and gave us a special open-access fast pass. It was totally unexpected, and really nice. It isn't as if we had complained (to anyone else or among ourselves) about the wait. But the waiter felt we'd waited too long and wanted to make sure we were compensated.

We didn't even need to use it (no lines we tried to go on long enough that night to require use of it) - so it will go in the scrapbook with a note about the special Pixie Dust ....

Finally, and the biggest for me. Check out, yesterday morning. I was late packing and rushing. I didn't have time to call for luggage assistance. So, I was lugging 2 large suitcases, plus my laptop, a rolling carryon, two kids (6 and 7 - walking and HELPING age), and the kids two backpacks. Both large suitcases were overstuffed and heavy, and not packed very evenly so they had a tendency to tip over. The kids were taking turns pulling the carry-on while I dealt with the two big suitcases, laptop, and my bagallini. They were starting to argue about the carry-on and I stopped to deal with it. I let go of the largest suitcase's handle and it fell backwards, hitting my youngest in the mouth. The speed in which it fell, and the weight of the suitcase, I'm really surprised it didn't cut his lip or even knock out his front tooth. He cried, and I felt HORRIBLE, hugged him, and cried myself. A CSR shuttle was passing just at that point with two ladies. They stopped and helped, and were SOOOO kind. The CM loaded our luggage onto the cart, and we rode. He dropped off the two ladies and then took us to luggage storage, checked our bags for us, and directed to us the giftshop where I was going to pick up to ride pictures before we caught ME. Just before ME picked us up, the CM walked past me and quietly slipped me two pictures, one of Cindarella's Castle with fireworks behind it, and the second with Belle and The Beast, signed "Regards / Goodbye". He was so very kind, and by then my son had forgotten all about Mommy banging him with the suitcase handle. I did tell him it was his fault (JOKINGLY) for buying so many souveniers. ;)

I've posted this before, but I like the story so I'm going to tell it again. We went to MNSSHP last year and my boys dressed as Pooh and Tigger. Everywhere we went the CM's said "Wow, why aren't you signing autographs?" or "Aren't you supposed to be in Fantasyland? The kids are waiting for you!" The boys believed that the CM's really thought they were the real Pooh and Tigger and when we actually got to Fantasyland we stood in line for the real ones. When we got to the front the CM handler guy got really excited and asked if we minded if they took pictures of our boys with the characters for "Pooh and Tigger's own personal scrapbooks." Of course we said yes. My oldest has told countless people that he's in Pooh's real scrapbooks and for months searched for a glimpse of the scrapbook in any Pooh movie he watched. It was great!

These are great stories! This is why i LOVE Disney!!!
We had soooo many pixie dust moments on our first trip last year, we kept saying "Pixie Dust!!!!" anytime something happened (ok, so we are nerds, I admit it)...especially on my DS's birthday, wow! Picked to open MGM, given many free treats, etc.

I cannot wait for more Pixie Dust moments this October!!! Just going back for a second time is pixie Dust for me!!!! :wizard:

Absolutely WONDERFUL stories and TIKIGODDESS - what an adorable picture!

Although I have no EXTRA PIXIE DUST stories to tell, my first trip to WDW in February was just sooo fun and everyone we encountered was nice and smiling. Even my DH relaxed and smiled alot too!!! I think it was the best vacation we took in 20 years!!! :sunny:

Well yesterday we had quite a few more pixie dust moments. I just LOVE Disney!!

The first, and probably best one, of the day was at Test Track. Yesterday was dd4's first opportunity to ever get to ride it. We used fastpass for the first ride (didn't need it) and she LOVED it! So she wanted to go on again and we got another FP and then went in the standby line which said it was a 20 min wait (there was no wait at all) and went a second time. When we got off the second time she was just gushing how much fun she had, plus she was all dolled up after going to BBB and the CMs were bowing to her and she was returning the gesture with a curtsey. One of the CMs asked her if she wanted to go again (we were planning on going a third time) and took us the back way to go on the ride right away again and we got to miss the pre-show. When we got off the ride, they presented her with a Magical Moments certificate for being a TT re-rider.

I then had the chance to spread some pixie dust as I had three FP for TT that were for that moment and passed them on to someone about to get FPs.

Later that day while in line for Soarin' she had the CMs gushing all over her and talking to her while waiting for our turn to ride. Then once boarded on the ride, one of the CMs took her off the ride, and brought her to the front and had everyone sing Happy Birthday to her. She was just beaming ear to ear.

And the last one was at Once Upon a Toy in DTD. She wanted to trade one of her pins with a CM and went to run off to get her lanyard. The CM told her she could just have the pin (it was Snow White) and then also gave her a Magical Moments certificate.

I'm writing all this down here, so that when I get home next week, I can record all of this for my dd so she knows how truly special this trip to WDW was for her.

Snowflkcts, thanks, I love that pic. It's my wallpaper on my computer. I love these feel good stories and look forward to adding some to our memories when we go in Jan.

Hearing these stories reminds me of why I love Disney World so much!

Although we don't get pixie dust in the way of "freebies", we do get pixie dust often! I absolutely consider the kindness of others as pixie dust. It makes my heart sing when kindness is bestowed to my son, which happens quite a bit at Disney World! A little kindness goes a long way, and even comes home with us! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :yay:

We just got back and we had several pixie dust moments! And by the way anewvance, I saw you at MNSSHP! We were running to get somewhere so I didn't stop and say anything but I recognized your DD from her new haircut thread!
Anyway, on with the memories. Both of my girls got to come on stage at Storytime with Belle. This was exciting to me as my 5 year old is usually insanely shy.

When my 2 year old sat in the barber chair at Harmoney Barber shop for her very first haircut, two people with video cameras from Media Relations walked in and asked if they could film it for a possible DVD someday. Of course I said yes. So if you see this "Minnie" in future WDW videos, she's mine!

One of the coolest things to happen all week was when we were at the pool relaxing and the lifeguards came out of their meeting and asked my 2 older daughters if they would like to open the Pop pool for the day. They put them on a platform, yelled their names and gave them some groovy hats, sunglasses and pinwheel flowers. Later that day they also delivered a certificate to our room certifying it as a magical moment.

And who can resist the temptation of dancing with Cruella herself?! This was so cool. Again DD5 came out of her shell with the characters- it was magical!

There were also some cute travel moments like getting to sit in the cockpit and "driving" the monorail. All in all it was a magical time.

These are good stories :teeth:

Hopefully I'll have lots of my own to report back on in mid Oct - returning from 14 days!!
