I know there's the WISH board, but I think that the t-shirt board has their own weight/exercise/diet thing... I'm betting that there's at least a few of us here working on (or struggling!) with our weight. Anyone up for a support thread??

:yay: <--that is me doing jumping jacks. does that count? :)

:cool1:  Count me in!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Our dog has the perfect diet plan! First you take a bite of food, then you run 3 laps around the house. Then stop, eat another bite... 3 more laps!! :rotfl2: She look like she's never fed, but she eats 2-3 bowls of food a day!! Wonder if that would work for me? :confused3 What would the neighbors think? :rotfl2: :lmao:

I'm in! I've been doing the WISH thing, and it has really helped! I like the idea of having our own creative weight loss thread, too! :cheer2:

I was *just* thinking about posting this the other night! Great minds think alike. :) I'm still trying to lose the rest of this baby weight and then some. Count me in!

Yeh, I'm up for a support thread. Here recouping from surg, and vegging all day. I have had that wish thing on my siggie, but that is all it is...a wish. Looking for inspiration, and weight loss...but watching Rachael Ray (is she just too cute or what?) and the food chanel isn't helping... :lmao:

So yeah, when the recouping is finished, I'm planning on getting serious.

It would be great to have a group that supports the diet and the obsessions.

well, of course...I've already bought every diet thing out there :lmao:

I'm so glad people are interested in this!! I lost a bunch of weight before and stress-ate it all right back on. :sad2:

(ddavis...we're watching Emeril right now! :teeth: )

I just started Nutrisystem and did Leslie Sanzone's "Walk and Kick" dvd. Anyone else do the Walk Away tapes? This one is cool....it's walking w/intervals of kickboxing. It's a nice change.

I'm going to set a mini-goal of 10 lbs and 10 days cheat free!!
Now I just have to come up w/a good reward!! :woohoo:

I'm trying to do the "no-cheat" thing, too! My no-cheat just includes staying on points (Weight Watchers) and meeting the WISH exercise goal for the month. It has not been very easy, but hey, one step at a time, right?

By the way, I know what you mean about Rachael Ray and her shows. I watch them and look at her books and think, "Ok, I should just look that cute, throw together this meal in like 2 seconds, and have all the time in the world!" Funny how it never seems to work that way! My definition of cooking is "How long do I heat this Lean Cuisine meal?" DH also does the cooking, so I am lucky that way! :thumbsup2

Momof2DisneyKids--you can definitely do 10 days cheat-free! We will be here to encourage you and cheer you on! :cheer2: You should give yourself a reward like a new pair of shoes or something like that (ok, I can't help it. . .I'm a shoe freak! )

hey StitchIsOurHero--you got a new tag!!! Wow!!
LOL about the shoes...I guess that's a better reward than a big ole' sundae!!! :teeth: Thanks for the encouragement! Hopefully we can all help each other!!!!!!!!! :teeth: :thumbsup2

My problem (well one of them) is that I'm still breastfeeding my youngest and I don't know how many calories I need to be eating to lose weight yet still take in enough to cover the milk making. Plus, trying to find the time to excersize is hard. We have some great shows that I DVR plus we have a Excercise on Demand channel. It's just finding the time when both girls are occupied enough to do it.

I did WW while breastfeeding, and I believe it was an extra 10 points per day. Not sure how that breaks down calorie-wise though....

You're right about the 10 points extra--would that be like 500-1000 extra calories? Just estimating based on the fact that one of the 100 cal cookie snack bags is 2 points! That could be totally wrong. . .not to mention totally sad, since I base all of my measurements on cookies! :lmao:

I'm glad the Tag Fairy liked my commentary on The Rock :rotfl2: ! He really was pretty, though! :thumbsup2

Momof2DisneyKids--I told DH the other day that when I got to my 20 pound goal, I was going to make myself a big pan of nachos. I will probably eat them all myself, but that will be worth it (as long as it doesn't put the whole 20 pounds back on! )

I am definately in. I lost a bunch with LA Weight Loss about 2 years ago, but about half has crept back on. I was really starting to work it off just before Christmas, when I fell and tore tendons in my ankle. Six weeks in a cast and a few months, and I still have to really watch what I do. Since my activity is limited, I am trying to make it up in food, with mixed success.

But I know myself well enough to know that I need other people to help me hold myself accountable!

I'm IN

I lost about 40lbs in 04 with Atkins

than I went to WDW in 10/04

Ate anything I wanted
haven't been motivated enough to get busy again

have only put about 10 back on

but I am going to WDW in Dec 06 and really wanna loose another 20 before than
or 30 even

well, good luck to everyone today!!!! We can do this!! :thumbsup2

day 2 of cheat-free...and hope to exercise for 30 min tonight.
(but now, it's off to work...)

have a great day!

I was on WW when I was breastfeeding. If I got the high fiber bread, I could eat a LOAF A DAY on that plan. My problem was eating all the food that I was expected to eat for the healthy milk making, and all the fluids too. But my Dr said it was the best for me and the baby, so I did it. I did lose too, so he was right.

Ummm....an Exercise on Demand channel? Cool, so they exercise for you when you demand it? Hey, I need to get me that channel... :lmao:

I'm in, trying to lose about 20 pounds before my holiday - not too unrealistic I think but I said that at this time last year and it never happened! We bought a treadmill in the January sales and it never gets used, neither do OH's weights and stomach crunch thing (I can't use the latter, destoys my back, so I have a pilates ball instead that's gathering dust in the spare room!) Really need to get going!

I know it's cheating but I'm starting my diet/excercise on May 1st as I'm on holiday all next week (going to Edinburgh then down to London, then OH's parents are coming over for his birthday meal) and it's just not worth trying to diet on holiday!!! However I can seek solace in the fact that Edinburgh is very hilly so I'll get plenty of excercise!

Queenie, walk that Royal Mile once for me! I love Edinburgh.

I'm in for a weight loss thread! But I know myself enough to know I'm not going to watch what I eat and do until after we move on Friday!!

Does walking around Mike's shopping count as exercise points? :confused3

As far as I'm concerned, anytime I move my old behind counts! :rotfl2:
