How 6 day hopper works?

Here's my question: We have a 6 day park hopper plus water parks and quest ticket. But our vacation is 10 days long. If we check in on day 1 and go to Quest, does that use one of our 6 days? Or do the 6 days only get used when you enter one of the theme parks?

It will be used going into DisneyQuest, if I were you I'd wait until you could use a full day to use your tickets.

We spent our first half day at DTD, not entering any parks or DQ

i know the DQ use will count as 1 day but if you plan it right you can park hop and DQ the same day.

This isn't right. If you go to DQ it will use one of your "plus" options from the Water Parks and Fun feature. It will not use one of the 6-day hopper days. A 6-day MYW ticket with Water Parks Fun and More option gives you 5 visits to either a water park, Pleasure Island or Disney Quest. So in reality you can use that 6-day ticket and get use out of all its options for 11 days. I hope that makes sense.

Water Park Fun & More Option - This option provides admissions to Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, DisneyQuest, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island or Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is a flat rate of $50 ($53.25 with tax). You get a set number of admissions to the Water Park Fun & More attractions, depending on the length of the ticket you buy.
