How 2 combat cold dreery days

How does one combat these cold dreery days? What do you do to get through the day. Especially if it is your day off?

We're having one today.

I put on warm fuzzy socks, my favorite DH-castoff flannel shirt, light some candles and make soup.

WoW. I bake, read, play on my computer. Sometimes if I am in the mood I will go out and shop. I curl up with a cup of hot tea or coffee. Not much of a coco person. If I had a sewing machine I would sew. You could sleep the day away. Watch a good movie, tv. I miss having a fireplace. Just what ever you enjoy doing. Enjoy your day off. Jo

I do the same routine I do every day. Weather doesn't affect me much.

I love it when those days happen on my days off!!! I stay in my pj's and drink coffee and watch tv!!

I enjoy them? I really, really, really prefer this time of year to summer. To me, summer is overly hot, humid, and disgusting - and the fact that I am allergic to most sunscreens (and burn in a matter of minutes), while now it is nice and cool. Once we have a killing frost or two, my allergies will disappear until late spring, so I am really looking forward to decent weather.

To be honest - I would do whatever I would normally do on my day off (if I ever had one), but it would be a lot more likely to be outside than if it were July or August.

I know what you mean - grey days just sort of deflate me too! Try to get outside on the good days, to store up that sunshine to get you through. Also, play upbeat music if you're doing indoor chores on your day off.

Well, right now I would put on some comfy, warm clothing, hide underneath a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate and read a book or watch a favorite movie. After a few dozen of these type of days though, I would hole up in my favorite store for a few hours wishing it was spring already
