How 1 trip turned to 2 and now turning into 3!! Update Pg 40 Days 3, 4 and 5!!

:sad2:

We woke up on our last day at Disney knowing several things needed to be taken care of before we could go have any fun today!

Grandma started out the morning by giving the boys the stuff she'd gotten for them-Carter woke up with Crush in his pack and play and Corbin got a shirt he'd looked at a couple of different times and a sign to hang up in his room.

We had to get packed and get the room picked up to be sure we didn't loose anything or leave anything behind.

Grandma also had to get over to the ME pick up at the main building of the resort. Now the info we'd gotten said she had to be there about 9 but she was ready to head over "in case the line's long" a little after 8. Dan took her over there and had breakfast with her and hung out with her until she got on the ME I guess.

In the meantime, I got everything packed up and ready to go once Dan got back to the room. It wasn't too bad really which is good.

DisneyPicturesDay4288.jpg

We couldn't figure out what was taking Dan so long since all we'd talked about was him walking his mom over there, having breakfast with her and bringing something back for us. Carter passed the time loving Crush and Corbin ate a poptart or something....

Corbin tried to love on Carter but he wasn't really having any of it this morning

DisneyPicturesDay4306.jpg

About two hours later, he FINALLY came back with breakfast.....he ended up staying with her until she was ready to go.

DisneyPicturesDay4308.jpg

This is where the email previously mentioned comes into play...we'd agreed before leaving that we were going to book bounceback for free dining next year if it was available so we didn't have to worry about getting it or not. Nothing was left in our room so I had Dan call the front desk. The CM gave him two different codes-one for 40% off a deluxe, room only ressie. The other was some kind of MYW package which we wouldn't use because we have APs.

We tried to make ressies with her and she explained she couldn't do that. We quickly looked at the calendar since the CM had told us it was for any time in 2009 (which threw a red flag for me!!). We tried to call the ext to book from our room and the CM there knew nothing about the codes we had. He said the one we gave him was only good for the remainer of 2008 and we couldn't use it on our Dec trip since it was a "package" with the DDP.

After about two hours of calling several different places and speaking with several CMs, we left with NO BOUNCEBACK!!! :sad2: I told Dan this is NOT how I wanted to leave Disney and hadn't really ever been this disappointed before...I was so mad!

So when I got home I sent my nastygram (worded as nicely as possible!) to Disney letting them know how upset I was that I couldn't book another trip to their property. That's when I got the voicemail about them sending the $100 Disney gift card (still waiting for it in the mail). I would like to call the guy back and thank him for calling first off and also explain that what I wanted was to book another trip at a discount or at least garuntee (sp?) free dining next year but get two rooms instead of one. I still need to make that call....life was busy this week!

Since we still had CS credits (4 to be exact) on the DDP, we headed to DTD to do a bit of shopping (retail therapy may have made the trip home a bit more pleasant) and use our CS credits up to get something to eat on the way home.

We had planned on hitting the MK again this morning but with Dan and the bounceback issues taking so long, it was literraly check out time when we left which was much later than I'd wanted to be out of there by. We just ended up going to DTD and calling it a day.

First stop was to watch Stitch spit on people. Then we went into World of Disney. Dan picked out two pirate glass mugs and the boys each got a cup (Corbin picked them out since Carter was sleeping in the stroller!). I picked out a scrapbooking kit and some Disney tape to use in my scrapbook. Dan also picked out a poster of Mickey with a fireman and a postcard of Walt with the castle. I picked up a couple of other small things (something for Leon and a Halloween pin for another DISer) and we checked out. I wanted the Halloween "soundtrack" from MNSSHP but couldn't find it. The CMs there suggested trying the Christmas store at they carry other holiday stuff too.

The boys and I went into the Christmas store and Dan went to check out restrauants to see where he wanted to use the CS credits. Right inside the door of the store was the huge monorail set. We'd previously promised Corbin the small metal monorail for not having an accident in the van on the way down (story added to the beginning of TR previously) and still hadn't gotten it for him. I told him we'd keep looking to see what we could find but didn't have room for the big one right now.

We looked around the store and couldn't find the CD I wanted but the boys had fun watching a Mickey Christmas movie. Dan came back in and found us and had found a place to do lunch.

We wound up getting lunch from ....brain fart....I just had it and lost it....I'll edit later when I think of the name again-not Wolfgang Puck's. I didn't see anything on the menu that I would/could eat to I told Dan to pick grilled cheese for the boys and get whatever he wanted for him. I was going to take the boys outside to wait for him.

We sat down on a bench for a minute before I got an idea...we went over to the side entrance of DTD and I let the boys out to walk on the sidewalk. Corbin couldn't figure out why the ground was all wet. Pretty soon the water started shooting out. Let the fun begin! I knew Dan would NOT be happy with this but he would just have to get over this!

The boys had such a wonderful time playing in the water-Corbin was SOAKED by the time Dan came out. Thankfully clothes were in the van and we quickly changed him in the parking lot before heading out.

Dan took the boys out to the van and I stopped to get some popcorn as a snack for the boys on the way home. I also got something to drink (had to use another snack credit!!) and saw this awesomely cool thing:

DisneyPicturesDay4358.jpg

That wonderful thing screws on to the top of water bottles (or any other bottle with the same size opening) and turns it from a bottle you have to tip to drink out of to a bottle with a straw!! I actually got two of them and want to get a couple more on the next trip!! Carter loved it and started using it right away!!! It's wonderful-I think it was my best buy of the trip!!!

Dan had called earlier to get directions to the Disney outlets so we could also stop there on the way out of town. I was looking forward to this but wasn't sure what to expect. Tonya (the DIS'er I met at MNSSHP) had been to both of them earlier in the week and said they both had the same things so at least I knew I didn't have to go to both of them.

Want to know what I got at the outlets???? You'll have to wait and see until next time!! I ordered the photopass on Friday and paid for "express" shipping so that's 2 days for them to put it together and 2 day shipping so I should have it early this week! I'll post the pictures from it this weekend for everyone. I'll also post my outlet finds and trip home pictures!

Have a super night!!

Yea! and update:cool1: What cute pictues. Love the Character pictues from Epcot. The dinner at CR looks amazing!! The personizied menu what a great idea and souviner. Did you have to pay extra for them? Is the CR the only ones who do it? The cake made me hungry, just might have to go get some dessert now:goodvibes Do you mind if I ask how much it cost? I might have to look into a cake for our anniversary dinner. Love dads matching shirt:thumbsup2 Carter names for the characters are cute. Landen says Mickey plain as day, the only other one is Guf for Goofy, we working on the others.
Thank for the update, it was a nice way to end my day:)

Thank you!

CR was awesome! I would do it again just to see the boys reactions-that was worth it alone! The menus are free! You just have to call and ask for it to be arranged and email the pictures to them. The diver signs are free too! I don't remember off the top of my head what I paid for the cake. I want to say like $32 for the cake, $10 for the picture less my DDE discount so maybe $35ish dollars??? That was the best cake I think I've ever had!!! It reminded me so much of wedding cake! Dan liked the other cake better (from GFC) but this was my favorite hands down!

Yeah-Carter had a name for all of them! Corbin tries to correct him but then gives up when he realizes it's just not going to change :goodvibes

Alrighty...that's all I can do tonight. I have to get to sleep....Lord knows the kids will be up before dawn again tomorrow! :rotfl: I'm hoping to run them ragged so they'll nap so mommy can try that again tomorrow! :rotfl:

Hope you all enjoy the updates.

Jill you better get over here soon....you won't be able to comment for much longer....we'll drag this out as long as we can! :thumbsup2 :grouphug:

I probably won't have much more really to update until the photopass CD comes this week.

I'll have some non-Disney updates though I'm sure! I have to upload a picture of the boys with their new haircuts-very handsome! :goodvibes

Have a super night! I'm off to get some sleep!!!

I love the photo session with Corbin and the big blue hat!! He is such a ham! A cute ham too. I laughed out loud when I read what you told him about "pee pants" meeting Mickey.:rotfl2: Abby does that bathroom thing. She did it more when she was Corbins' age, not so much now. I think they just like to see what the different bathrooms look like. Because there is no way they have to go that much, unless they've had a ton to drink.
We are definately going to have to try and eat at CR. It'll be nice for Harvey to see a turtle without a shark coming after him.
There is so much to comment on that I have a hard time remembering what I want to comment on.:rolleyes1 I should take notes when I read your TR.:rotfl: Oh, now I know. I love how Corbin shows Carter "love". He grabs him around his neck and pulls. That's brotherly love!! Too funny:rotfl: :lovestruc
Nitey Nite! My oldest is going to drive me to the nut farm!!! Just so you know.:scared: :scared: :scared:

:sad1: I can't see the pictures! They all say you have exceeded your PhotoBucket Bandwith and to "go Pro".
I guess I'll just have to use my imagination 'til you get it fixed.......:surfweb:

Sounded like a great day though!:thumbsup2

Yes he was in true form with his big hat pictures! He loves to look at the different bathrooms and doesn't like to wait in line unless it's something he really wants to do and it's going to be fast. He'll learn though...

I'm sorry....I know it's not nice but I totally laughed and the boys looked at me when you said you wanted to eat at CR so he could see a turle without a shark chasing him!!! It's sad and funny at the same time! I honestly didn't even think about that until you said something!

Yeah maybe if I updated it "normally" there wouldn't be so much people had to remember! I'll have to remember that in Dec! Either that or provide notebooks to everyone reading!

Gotta love the brotherly love. When Carter was little we would tell Corbin to hold onto him to keep Carter in the picture so we could take a quick one. He hasn't learned that Carter will generally stay there now because he loves to get his picture taken. Occassionally Carter will go up to him and try to give him a hug but Corbin usually winds up squeezing his head until he screams!

The nut farm could be fun....hopefully everything's ok!

Crap....photobucket sent me an email that too many people had looked at them and it would be reset on 10/21 if the "max" something or other was reached before then....it must have been. I'm sorry! So I guess check back on 10/21 and they should be there then!

Looks like I need to either shell out the $40 to "go pro" or wait....I'll have to think about it today. I'm probably going to have to break down and do the "pro" since we're going again so soon! I'll put it on my list for today to check into and see if I can find a discount code or something! I'll update the title when I do that so you'll know. I'm sorry!

I must have posted before you finished your update, will have go back and reread.!
I agree with Lisa I need to take notes.:goodvibes
I would love a notebook:)
Do you know if any other resturants do the personizied menus?
I know you have a Dec 12 -17 trip planned the 2nd trip
When is the third trip?
I hope you call and get your bounceback, because maybe you might choose to go again in Sept and we could meet :woohoo:
Have a nice evening, off to catch up on other post:goodvibes

OMG---I have to wait till 10/21 to see the pictures...:confused3
I'm not going to make it....
We didn't  get to eat at the CR so I what to see your
pictures so bad!!!
OK I'm out of here and will (maybe) stop whinning.....:sad2:

Laugh sister. We make shark jokes. His license plate is "shark fd" (shark food). It is who he is and we can laugh about it now.
I'm o.k., it's just teenager stuff. I'm not equiped to handle it. :rotfl:
She was just giving me crap last night and I didn't want to deal with it at 11:00 p.m.!!
OT, have you ever watched My Big Redneck Wedding? Oh my gosh! :rotfl: If you haven't it is hularious!!! Today, they have a brother and a sister getting married. (the sister is adopted by brothers parents) So, TECHNICALLY, they're not "related". Too funny:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
You should try to load your pictures on Picasa. It's free and online. Then maybe you wouldn't exceed your bandwidth for Photobucket. I'm not sure I understand all of that bandwidth stuff, but I like Picasa. Then I just pull my pics off of Picasa and put them on Photobucket.
How was your Sunday? I had a good day at church, came home and took a little nap. Best kind of Sunday!
Have a good night!!

Third trip dates haven't been determined yet...we're talking about a late spring trip with our friends who are going in Dec (it's too easy for us to go living so close now!!!). Our "original" third trip was to be with friends from MI who haven't been to Disney yet. They just built a house and moved in last week or the week before so they're busy with that and can't really commit to a date just yet. So maybe it'll be four trips before we're done! :rotfl: I'm still debating asking for the bounceback offer when I call to thank them for the gift card. I'm sure we'll go again during free dining since it's such a nice benefit and we can have family come down and meet us.

Maybe if you're really lucky (and I am too), we'll have a vow renewal pre trip report to read next year!! :cool1: Our wedding was hillarious-the wedding sermon was all about how we were going to hell for having a kid and the reception certainly not what I had planned. This time I'll stand up for what *I* want instead of making everyone else happy. With having it at Disney, only a few people will be able to come so we can "blame" it on that limit instead of the fact that we just don't want a bunch of people there. It's also much cheaper for people flying down-MI to Orlando is way cheaper than MI to Savannah! I'm just looking out for them! The "hold up" right now is the fact that it's a $10,000 investment and that almost makes me sick to spend that much on one day of your life! My whole wedding last time around didn't cost that much!!

OMG---I have to wait till 10/21 to see the pictures...:confused3

No I'm hoping to convince myself to pay the freaking money but just didn't have time to do it today. I need to read what I'm paying for before I just jump in and give them my money. :thumbsup2 What happened?? How come you didn't get to eat at CR???

LOVE the license plate!!!

It must be the weekend...Corbin's been pushing buttons all freaking day...I did keep them up until 9 last night though and Corbin slept until a little after 6 and Carter until a little after 7  Wonderful!!!

I'll have to look into the Picasa. I put them all on Shutterfly too so I can send them to friends/family. I also realized I could "share" my photopass pictures so I just did that this week.

SIDENOTE: Got my photopass tracking number today and it's supposed to be here on Tuesday!!! :yay:

Today really wasn't too bad...Corbin was just a little terror. It rained most of the day so he couldn't play outside as much as he wanted. One of the kids down the street (I don't know who) had a birthday party today that Corbin wasn't invited to. It was SO hard for him to look out the window and see the bouncehouse up and know his buddy from across the street was down there and he had to stay home. We managed though. Dan and Sandy went to a football game today so I'm sure they're on their way back to school by now to finish class this week. We were talking about going to the state fair next weekend but it'll depend on my kids and the weather and how the guys feel when they get home. I could take it or leave it this year really...

I managed to finish (as much as I'm going to) the livingroom today. I also got all of my clothes put away and my room cleaned. I also did a bunch of laundry and cleaned my bathroom. Now just the playroom and kitchen are left. That's nice.

I realized today that I need to get working on plans for when my mom comes to visit the week of Thanksgiving. Our neighbors invited themselves and her inlaws over to our house for Thanksgiving so I guess I'm cooking for like 10 of them and 6 of us :scared1: So much for a quiet holiday! This will be my mom and stepdad's first time down here so I'll probaby take the week off or work half days or something. We'll hit the "tourist" places like Savannah, Hilton Head and Charleston. Hopefully she'll stay so I can get up and do some shopping on Thanksgiving and Black Friday! :woohoo:

Alright...I really should try and get stuff put away so I can get some sleep. I should have taken a nap today! The boys slept for like three hours...:headache:

Have a super Monday everyone-happy job hunting Lisa!

That looks fantastic!! For us, DDP would be too much. We only eat out once a day when we are at Disney. I pack breakfast foods, like pop tarts and small boxes of cereal, and for lunch we eat PB & J. Usually I ask the kids Crunchy or Creamy, Grape or Strawberry. I pack Pringles because they're in the can and won't get so beat up in transit, we get milk and juice from the General Store. I can only handle eating out so much. I pack snacks too. It works for us and my kids know that that's how it is.
I am curious to see how it works out for you guys though!

Thanks Lynn! I can't believe that states are still having fairs!! I guess that's what happens when you live in warm climate states. Um.. so you're cooking for 16 huh???? I could bring my 5 as long as you're cooking.:rotfl2: :rolleyes1 Just kiddin. Dang, that's a lot of people to cook for. Make sure you have the neighbor help you and bring stuff. Don't you do it yourself!
Poor Corbin. It's hard to explain to a child why they weren't invited to a party. I tell my kids that maybe they were only allowed to invite so many kids and so it was hard for them to choose.
Your house looks great! I can really tell that you worked hard this weekend. ;)
I hope Dan and his friend had a great time at the game and that they make it back to school safely!
Talk to you soon friend! Have a great day at work!!

Yeah normally, back in MI, we'd be bundled in winter coats, hats and gloves by now! My poor kids are going to go into shock when we go for Christmas! Corbin told me yesterday when we were watching Good Morning Amercia and they were showing the snow from outwest that he didn't want any more snow! :rotfl2: Good answer!

Heck...really what's more people at this point??? Come on down! It'll be way warmer than OH that's for sure!!! You'll go back with a tan! :thumbsup2

He didn't care so much that he couldn't go to the party-just that his friend he wanted to play with was there! I told him they were all older kids so that's why he couldn't go, aside from the fact that we don't know them! :rotfl:

Well thank you! I was hoping someone would notice! :goodvibes I'm planning on finishing the rest up today. Michelle called this morning and she has the flu so there's no work for me today! I'm planning on taking the boys in tonight (when there's no other office people there for them to bother!) and finish up a couple of things that I would have done today. Then hopefully back to work tomorrow...

Have a super day...I hope the hunt goes well and is successful for you!

For some reason the new pictures didn't work on my computer :( It said "bandwidth exceeded". But oh well. I still liked the TR! I'm sorry that they couldn't book the bounceback offer for you. Hopefully you will be able to work that out.

Corbin and Carter would live on cereal and pop tarts if I'd let them!:rotfl: Unfortunetly for them, they have to eat other food too. I packed a tote of snacky foods and breakfast stuff as well as like juice boxes and water bottles. We'll do that again in Dec too. It's so much easier to just have stuff right there. It makes me sick to think people pay $2 for each bottle of water! I always pack snacks too since Corbin's allergic to just about everything! :goodvibes Better to have something before he's cranky instead of trying to hunt down a "safe" snack when we need one.

The dining plan was nice in Sept and now that I've done it once and know what I "should" be getting, I think it'll be easier in Dec for us. Not saying we'll use it every single time, but right now for the budget, it's easier to pay in advance.

Alright...back to the kiddos. Monsters Inc is on the Disney Channel this morning so they just started watching that. Then it's nappy time then off to Best Buy to get some Wii games that TRU advertised on sale. TRU is way too far away for us and BB will price match so I need to get in there today. That means my hubby will be totally done for Christmas! :woohoo: I'll pick him up a couple of little things to put in his stocking but nothing big for sure.

I've also got to work on my Christmas list for the boys...I was supposed to send out an email of what we all wanted for Christmas...I'm really bad at that. I hate to ask for things but I'm starting to get a bit better.

Well, I was supposed to hunt today, but I am carless. My DH was trying to fix the exhaust on the kids car yesterday and couldn't get it fixed. So, their car is still up on ramps and they took my Jeep. We might just have to live with two cars for the rest of the month. (oh darn, like it's such a struggle) I'm going to have to take them to school tomorrow so I can have the car. I am glad that you have a day off though. It's nice that you have a flexible job.
K, I really need to get downstairs and get to cleaning it. I might even get under the stairs and dig out the Halloween decor!
Have a great day!!! :flower3:

How did cleaning go? It looks like it went well! :thumbsup2 And the Halloween decorations-beautiful!

Michelle called and she's feeling better so she'll be back tomorrow! :cool1: I'm so ready to go back to work! I hate to say that but I hate not being there and feeling like I let them down. They're wonderful and understanding so I know they're not ticked off and I really didn't have anything to do today, still feel bad (a little bit) about not being there. I need to work on that...everyone takes sick days and days off...I'm not the only one and it'll be ok!

I went to BB today to get some Wii games since Santa's bringing us a Wii for Christmas. I had paperwork to pricematch TRU but forgot the paperwork at home. :headache: I ended up getting some help from a wonderful person at the Customer Service desk but then a ditsy clerk and rude manager (I think she was a manager). I've got to go back tomorrow and have them fix the transaction so I can get more money back.

Corbin noticed I wasn't very happy when we were getting in the van and asked why I was mad. I told him that girl was not using her manners and was rude. He told me to give him all of their names and he would teach them good manners! :rotfl2: That made me feel much better right there! What a good kid!

We stopped at Sonic on the way home-a "shush" as Carter calls it always makes us feel better! :goodvibes

Alright...time to straighten up the house for like the 50th time today. Corbin's outside playing with friends (he's been waiting for someone to get home to play!!) and Carter's just being Carter tonight.

I've got to find someplace to rent a carpet cleaner one night this week and get that done before Dan gets home....I don't think my list will ever end!

Haven't really thought about Christmas yet. Well, I have, but I keep hoping it'll just stay away. I was going to get DH a TomTom for his car, but he informed me that he wouldn't ever need one of those because his phone does the same thing. There goes that idea. I also thought about getting DS a letterman jacket. Just have to talk to DH about it. Oldest DD will be easy. CLothes. Youngest DD is already making a list, so I'll just see. It probably won't be as big of a Christmas as last year, and that's o.k. We're going to Disney next year!

You're right. Your/mine lists will never end. That's because we are the moms silly!
Cleaning actually went very well. I cleaned and rearranged the downstairs today. I crawled under the stairs to get out the Halloween decorations and um... they're in the attic! Dangit!!!!
Harvey fixed the kid's car so I will be able to go out tomorrow and hopefully join the work force.
I've rented a carpet cleaner from Home Depot for like $40 for the night. It worked pretty well for me.
So, that's about it for me. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow.
Have a good day back at work! :surfweb:
