Anyone know what the "fitness centers" at the various housing complexes consist of?

I'm hoping it's more than just a treadmill and a bowflex.

I am not sure if there are fitness centers at ever complex. I think there are ones at Chatham Square and Patterson Court. However, they are open to all Disney CPers despite where you live-I know this. I think you just have to show your ID or sigh in or something.:confused3

I I hope they have a stationary bike and elliptical along with treadmills. As far as weight training I limit myself to machine weights.:drinking:

I'm almost positive each apt complex has its own fitness center though some may be nicer than others. I lived at Vista. The fitness center was relatively small but it did have 2-3 treadmills, maybe 2 ellipticals, a couple other random machines, and a full weight bench set.I only went a few times but I would say the best time to go is early in the morning or late at night.

This may be non-related, but how bike friendly is the area?

I think I actually read somewhere on the college program site that bikes are not allowed. That may only be on the section you can see if you accept an offer.

But I guess if you had a vehicle it was in/on/attached to, maybe it would be ok?

Thanks! I'll have to double check that. I wanted to use a bike as my exercise of the day thing ... :confused3

When I was there, if you were in Recreation (LIFEGUARD) you could also use the fitness center at the Wide World of Sports in the Milk House which was very nice, I used that 3 nights a week at 10:30 to 12am and I would be the only one in there. Very nice weight center. One night I was in there and Kevin Garnett came in. And we spoke a few times it was nice.
