For those of you who have eaten at both the HOB in New Orleans and the one in Orlando, could you compare them for me? We love the HOB in NO. The mashed sweet potatoes are yummy, and worth a visit just to get them. :) Are they the same in Orlando? I looked at the menu for Orlando, an it doesn't look the same as the one in NO. Will we be dissappointed with the one in DTD? Also, do they now take a PS for dinner? Thanks in advance for the info. :)

Hello! I cannot answer you question, really. But I do want to say we had a coupon for dinner at HOB and so we tried it...I really wasn't interested in going but we had a buy one dinner, get one free deal. Well, DH and I were pleasantly surprised. It was much better than I thought it would be. So I cannot offer you a comparison with NO, but i will say it was good!

The HOB does take PS. My husband and I ate there this past Wednesday-I thought it was pretty good. He did have a side of mash potatoes, maybe not the same as the kind your describing. If you go you should make PS arrangements because we had to wait almost an hour to eat. They have a bar outside and different entertainment each night. I don't think you'll be dissappointed.

I wouldn't swear to it but I'm pretty sure the menu is the same at all of the HOB restaurants. It is my favorite West Side restaurant.

DH and I ate at HOB several years ago and were disappointed. But sounds like they've made some changes, check it out, it was still a fun night out, especially with taking the boat from POR.:earsgirl:

We ate at HOB in New Orleans in 2001 and HOB in DTD in 2003. The menus are similar, but not the same (could also be the time difference between dining experiences). In our opinion, the HOB in DTD does not measure up to New Orleans. And, was a bit of a disappointment after having enjoyed authentic cajun/creole cuisine in New Orleans. It's fun if you do enjoy that food - but it's not the same as dining around Jackson Square!!

That's what I was afraid of. :( I guess it would be almost impossible for any of the other HOB's to measure up to the one in NO. Maybe we'll still try it. We are spending a day at DQ, and none of the other West Side restaurants really appeal to me at all. Any reviews on the sweet potatoes. I could probably choke down anything else, if I could just have those great sweet potatoes like the ones in NO.
