Hello,

On our next trip to WDW we are interested in possibly taking in some entertainment at the House of Blues but aren't quite sure how it works.

1) Do we have to buy tickets for the entertainment and if so, how much do the tickets usually cost?
2) Do you have to be over 21?
3) Do you eat while watching the show?
4) What is a good time to go for the shows/bands? or
5) What is a good time to go and eat, and then watch the show?

Any details would be much appreciated. Thanx!

but my co-worker said that it's split in two - the restaurant and the bar plus a gift shop. I would think that yes, you'd have to be 21 to go into the bar but not the restaurant. The entertainment is likely in the bar.
I would LOVE to experience the Sunday Gospel breakfast I read about.
Hope you get the answers you need!

it is 2 diff sections..1 is bar and rest,,the other is concert hall ,,its a fair size been in it 2 times ..its 2 levels,,if you go on line you can find out whos playing,,,

you can do an internet search and find out which bands are playing in the performance portion while you are there-and buy your tickets ahead of time on-line (i think they do 'will call'). in the restaurant there is music at times, free with just being there. the restaurant has a bar that you can sit at or order at the table. concert venue has a bar as well.

we went to the gospel brunch last time we were there, the food was very good-but the sound was way too loud, so much so that despite getting free earplugs from the staff (apparantly allot of people ask for them) we had to leave.

You can get a coupon in the back of the Birnbaum's Official Guide - I think it is for 15% off. We were going to go last week but I was so tired and fell asleep after a long day at AK!
I too want to try the Sunday Gospel thing - sounds fun!

We were there in February to see Willie Nelson.
It was great! For this show the tickets were around $52 US/each. When I was checking out info. about HOB they mentioned that for some shows you can reserve and eat at their restaurant then take advantage of what they call "pass the line" to get into the concert.
If you go to their website they will explain it all.
We bought our tickets and picked them up at the Wil Call.
We would definately go back.

:thumbsup2

Thanks Barkley for posting about the noise levels. My almost 3-year-old daughter's birthday falls on a Sunday and we were trying to decide wether to take her to the Crystal Palace or the House of Blues for brunch (we can only manage one big meal a day!). We were definitely concerned about how our daughter would react if the music was too loud. Looks like it's the Crystal Palace for us (although we'll still probably hit the the House of Blues for dinner at some point because we love the food there)!
