Has anyone been to the Gospel Bruch at House of Blues in Downtown Disney? If so, whats your opinion of it? Is it necessary to book in advance (we plan to visit on November 16th).

Thanks for any help.

We love the Gospel Brunch! We have gone there twice so far, and the first time was the best, but the time we went this summer was well worth it too. We consider it a must-do any time we are at WDW on a Sunday.

Both times we just went up to the ticket booth either the day before or right when it opened the day off to get tickets to the later seating. I guess if someone were going in the most crowded season they might make ressies; I don't know about November. I like buying tix at the booth because I get to see where our table and seats are and make sure we have a good sight line to the stage.

Depending on the size of your party, you may be seated with other people, making it sort of like cruise dining, a potluck of personalities. I think tables seat up to 8.

The show was very entertaining both times we went, and the food is very excellent southern brunch fare. Enjoy :)

The show may be wonderful, but the only thing keeping me away from this restaurant are the posts I read about the spicy hot food. I don't even like regular table pepper and one poster said that even the corn bread was too tangy for her taste. I don't do Cajun food!

Nc,
I don't remember anything being too spicy hot. Maybe they had a gumbo with andouille sausage, but I don't eat that sausage, so maybe that is why I don't remember anything too hot and spicy.

I felt the sauces and flavors were subtle and varied, and a really good example of southern cuisine. It is all delicious and I feel worth your while to try out. They also have a station with fruits and pastries as well as smoked salmon, cream cheese and bagels, which means you can always find something among their many offerings with no heat or spice in it at all. We love this brunch so much it is hard to imagine anyone not being able to find something they like there :)
