Split a gut laughing at that show? All the shows are somewhat funny but that one was hysterical. My favorite part... when he was standing outside the meeting room where Cutty and a bunch of suits were and he's yelling, "You can't stop our love". :happytv: :happytv: :happytv:

Usually watch it but our car battery died last night, ended up spending $900.00 on new tires & battery. :guilty: So, we totally forgot & missed it. Have it taped though, so we'll watch this weekend.

Was the young girl from last week on again or maybe she won't be back until she turns 18. ;)

That hospital's so huge and yet Cuddy & Wilson never seem to have much to do. Must not be too many cancer patients in Jersey.

We absolutely love this show!

There were several times last night that we just LOL

Yes, she was back....with an interesting twist (and that scene was very funny too!)

Yes, many laugh out loud moments...but I wonder if parents of autistic kids were offended?

luvwinnie, while I can't speak for everyone, my dh and I were not offended. We have been fans of this show since the second epeisode, we missed the first one.

In fact, they actually got so much right, unlike some other portrayals, we exchanged many knowing looks. I started crying at the end..when Dr House said "See ya...." and in my head I heard a sad "wouldn't wanna be ya" echo, then followed by the gift and eye contact. I was a blubbery mess.

I think the kid did a stellar acting job and I'd be surpised if he didn't have an autistic sibling. He was too good to have not lived with someone within the spectrum.

::yes:: I agree and wondered about this, as well.

This is one of my "can't miss" programs and, of course, I love the irreverent Dr. House. But I also thought maybe they crossed a line here :scratchin It seemed that having the boy give House his video game at the end and his parents reaction was somehow supposed to leave the impression that everything House said and did earlier with him was really all OK. I'm not so sure that if I had an autistic child, I would not have been offended at the implication. :sad2:

I love this show and I love the interactions between him and Cutty.
I was :rotfl: when he took a whif of the sleeping gas and was staggering out of the room.

What implication? House was the only who believed the parents in the "not all screams are the same", and trusted that the parents did indeed know their child. House kept them there instead of cutting them loose, like the rest of his team thought they should. I didn't see House do anything to the child that was unesessary, though some tests may not have been comfortable but that would go for any patient. Restraints in the cat scan machine? You should see when my dd needs dental x-rays, I am the big human restraint under her, to keep her still. Ya do what ya gotta do. The "eating the red berries"...not offensive. He found a way to communicate what was needed as fast as possible.

I LOVE House!!! :thumbsup2

One of the "never miss" shows in our household!

Last night was GREAT! I think his treatment of the parents was typical House, and I wouldn't expect him to act any diffrently. And I agree, the last scene was priceless!

BUT... (and I'll put this in white so it doesn't spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched yet...)

-I guess I have a question, and I don't want to sound silly. But I wasn't sure if the "Fresno earthquake - as the reason for the 17-yr-old's odd behavior" was just a line House used to get rid of her, or if it was true..?-

I'll respond in white so as not to ruin it for anyone else. :thumbsup2

I watched it with a group of friends and we all thought that he made it up. In fact, one of us even said "Placebo!!" I'm curious to know if something like that is even possible.

Oh yes we bust a gut weekly watching this show! :rotfl: Reruns are on A&E (or older ones?). I think once a week on Fridays.

I was so close to bawling when the kid handed him the gameboy *sob*

Oh and when House was sucking on the hose (to help knock the kid out to do tests....) Holy hannah we Laughed our $%% off.... Sucking away on the hose. "Monkey see, monkey do" but it's true. :goodvibes

as the parent of a 2 year old with autism I liked the episode and was not at all offended. I loved at the end when they tried to show the little boys visual peception of House, I think it will help people to realize how sensory impaired many kids with autism are, and how the world mightlook thru their eyes.

another huge fan here!

My daughter was watching Stuart Little the other day, and I kept waiting for him to say something irreverent. It seems so unlike him now.

I wonder what's coming from this 17-year old...

HOUSE is BRILLIANT!!!!!!! (And that scene with the suits "You can't stop our love!" oh my gosh.....I must have rewinded that (tivo) 3 times to see it again!!!) :happytv: :lmao: :rotfl2: Just BRILLIANT!!

It was great. I also had many laugh out loud moments.

Love House! DW Lauri got me hooked midway through season one. Glad to see it is one of the few shows that can actually improve season to season.

I know Lauri gets a kick out of trying to guess what's wrong before they figure it out but it's so hard to do.

We also got a kick out of the fact that a patient had one of Lauri's rare diseases the other week (Okay, that's weird but it was kind of neat) She always says that one of these days the person is going to have AOSD.

Scary thing is, House looks, sounds and acts just like Lauri's oldest brother. Same piercing eyes, hair, snarky attitude - everything. They even both have a bad leg except her brother isn't using a cane.
