normally what are the hours of the parks in feb/march. which days would have fantasmic?? do they cut back to one showing of it? or none at all.
*thanks*

(this is soooooo difficult planning this trip,, dang):(

Off Season Hours for Disneyland are generally 10am to 8pm. DCA hours 10am to 6pm. Monday through Thursday. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights DL will be open as late as midnight. Usually Fri and Sun at least 10 and Sat at least 11, sometimes they are later, but I would expect 10 and 11. For DCA they may get as late as 9 or 10, but usually 9 even on Sat nights.

Electrical parade will be every Fri, Sat, Sun night. Fantasmic or Fireworks may be Fri, Sat (maybe sun, but not usually for fireworks) nights. Chances are in the off season they won't have Fantasmic and Fireworks. There is no way to tell when or if they will have Fireworks or Fantasmic some years they have Fantasmic till xmas, and Fireworks through summer, some years just fireworks, some years none, some years just Fanstasmic.

Off season is September through mid december except holiday weekends and Thanksgiving. It's also January through mid june minus holiday weekends, and the week before and after Easter (and maybe a few other weeks in the March through April range depending on when Easter is and the majority of local schools have off)

Peak seasons DL is open as early as 8 and as late as 11 on Monday through Thursay (could have some midnights, but not usually, and usually at least till 10pm), Friday and Sunday as late as midnight, but probably only till 11, and Sat usually midnight, not usually earlier than 11, with an occasional 1AM. 1am very rarely happens anymore, usually only on New Years eve and that's actually 2 pm.

Sunday before a monday holiday will be open a bit longer sometimes, with the monday holiday usually a bit longer too (1 or 2 hours)

DCA never closes after 10pm except on special occasions(like when they closed DL early for the Pirates premier) and New Years EVE (usually till midnight or 1) DCA generally doesn't open much before 10, with the earliest being 9. Closing will be between 8 and 10 during peak times, with 9 being more often.

Peak times will usually have Electrical parade, fireworks and Fantamic daily. Non summer times fantasmic will almost always only be shown once.

Just for completeness I'll add the following:
Nightmare before chirstmas Haunted Mansion changeover usually starts in September (that's when it will go down for 3 to 4 weeks) and usually opens back up the begining of October

Small world Holiday usually goes down after Haunted mansion comes back up and will come back up around the begining of November.

Most christmas decorations including the tree are usually up by the first weekend or so in November. If they have the holdiay fireworks (which rumor has it they won't since it's a new fireworks show this year, but you never know), they usually start by mid November, and by begining of december they will be daily through New Years.

Christmas Parade starts right around Thanksgiving (sometimes not till Thanksgiving or day after)

DL Generally has there CM chrismas party end of november/begining of December. Typically the Mix in parties are the Sundays before and after thanksgiving and the private parties are the Tuesday and Wednesday after thanksgiving. These 2 dates the park usually closes around 6 or so instead of 8.

All holiday stuff will generally run through the first weekend after New Years Day.

Week between Christmas and New Years is extremely crowded and there's a good chance Disneyland and/or both parks will be closed to new visitors, also around Easter, not generally in the summer though.

In 2005 Disneyland will be closed on May 4 (but DCA will be open) I expect DCA will have longer hours to compensate.

Thinking back to when we would go when I was a child, and after I got my first annual pass, I think it's funny that the peak hours have been scaled down a bit by an hour or 2, but the off peak hours have increased by 2 or 3 hours. DL used to be open in the summer from 8am till midnight or 1am, now it generally closes by 11 or midnight, whereas off peak times they would be open from 9 or 10 am till 5pm, and now it's generally 10 till 8.

Hope some of the info was helpful

I meant to add that in reguards to your original guestion. The last week of March, the few weeks before and after Easter, and the week of Presidents day will be more crowded periods, but also have the potential to have longer hours. However the hours will only be longer if the crowds are much higher, so it's really a toss up.
