Keep trying - you will get it. Trust me, if I can get 30 ghosts (an impossible task for me), you can get fireworks!!! Remember, wait to click until you see the white star.

Try playing first thing in the morning. There is less chance of the "good" players on and you can advance levels to get more points. I stink at fireworks, but I managed to get 185K by playing early.
