Hotwire--what do you think

Hello all....need your advice.....flying into MCO on12/4 and want a hotel room for the night by the airport....going to DVC on Sunday....is it better to wait to the last minute....like the week before to book a room or is the prices and availability about the same now? We would like to get the Hyatt(who wouldn't) and I just wonder if I should wait until like Thanksgiving to book a room for that night.
Appreciate any advice.

We used Hotwire for a trip to DC a few years back. I think my wife got the reservation within a month of going, booking us into what turned out to be a Wyndham Resort hotel (normally a $175-200 a night room) for less than $100. It worked out well for us, and would try them again.

I booked a hotel room in Budapest through hotwire - it worked great and I got a great price. I would use them again! I've booked another room at Charles de Gualle Airport in Paris for a trip I'll be taking next month.

Use betterbidding.com for help to know if you are getting a good price for a given hotel!

I used bidding on Priceline and got the Hyatt for $35. Now, I know you are not guaranteed the Hyatt, but you will be guaranteed a hotel of similar quality at a very low price. All the airport hotels have a free and frequent shuttle.
