I signed up last night, and as of noon today, still no email from them? Anyone else have to wait more than a few minutes? Am I too impatient, or should I call?

Thanks for your insight!

You're more patient than I am! I signed up this afternoon and called them about two hours later asking when I would get e-mail confirmation. Said it would be later tonight or tomorrow for me, so hopefully you have yours by now. The woman I spoke to was very pleasant.

By the way, I have been a Connections member for 2 years but I didn't renew with them this year because the price was up from about $80 to $140. I never had any problems with Connections so I hope this continues through with Hotwire.

I also signed up for Hotwire Savings the other night and expected my confirmation email immediately. I never got it so I emailed them and then later that next night , they sent me my membership #. They should send it right away but they don't. I purchased some of the meal vouchers as soon as I got the membership # and I still haven't seen the charge on my credit card.. I hope they are speedy with delivering my vouchers. I need them by Oct. 8th. Anyone know how long it usually takes! Thanks a lot.

Well, I finally called, and the person I spoke to said it could be 7-10 days before they give me my account number and set me up in the system. I wonder if they are getting inundated? I'd be curious to see if this is the "new normal" with other people who just signed up.

I signed up yesterday for Hotwire SC. I called today since I hadn't received an email confirmation. I was advised it would be 3-5 days.

Called Hotwire again since I have not gotten e-mail yet. Was told this time to give it up to 48 hrs and that sometimes e-mails are blocked by spam blockers. Also, if I don't get e-mail in 48 hrs I can call back and they will give me member # over the phone.

Glad I don't have a DW coming up shortly, but I would like to get some store cards soon so I can start Christmas shopping!

I agree Margaret!--I'm glad I am not trying to order vouchers for a Disney trip in the next few weeks. As you can tell from my countdown I have a ways to go before our WDW trip, but I wanted to buy some movie tickets for prizes for our Halloween party, and of course to get started on Christmas shopping. I guess I just have to be more patient...

I'll post when I finally get my info.

I've gotten confirmation within minutes and that was on Sunday night, but I'm really concerned that my vouchers won't arrive in time...I ordered stuff on last Sunday and I'll leaving next Friday. Major pixie dust needed please!

a few minutes later. I hope I have the same good luck with my vouchers arriving on time!

No e-mail yet, but I got my membership number. I called on Saturday afternoon (about 48 hrs after signing up) and I was "in the system"!

In checking out their website, I see Circuit City is one of their participating stores and I'm planning a $250 Christmas purchase there anyway, so I plan on using CC gistcards from Hotwire to get $50 (20%) credit back. And can you guess where that $50 savings will be spent (hint - I have a January trip to WDW planned).

I received my response from Hotwire immediately, but it went to my Junk Mail folder for some reason and I had to retrieve it. Good thing I checked before I dumped the junk!

My first and second orders ( restaurant cards, movie tickets and meal vouchers took about 7 days and came regular mail. The last one with park hoppers (therefore considerably more expensive) came in 4 days via airborne express. I don't know if the amount you spend has any bearing on the way it is shipped or not but the number of items was greater in the first two. Oh yes I had my e-mail in less than10 minutes of signing up but the charges did not appear on my credit card until I actually had the items. (checked it on the internet after six days and no package had arrived).
I was nervous because I had signed up for Connections a few months ago and cancelled it after the trial (didn't think I would get enough savings to warrant the annual fee) and was afraid they wouldn't let me join on another trial basis. This time I plan to keep it for at least a few months.
Sending lots of pixie dust to everyone who is waiting.

Well, I finally was able to get my membership # by calling again this morning. The Customer Service rep said that it showed that my email was sent out the day I signed up (9/24). It must have been a victim of my spam blocker.

I guess the lesson here is: If you sign up for Hotwire Savings Club and have a Spam blocker on your email, check the blocked messages before you dump them!

Happy spending, everyone
