Hotwire & No Confirmation...should I worry?

After reading the posts telling of the money some of you have saved using meal vouchers, I decided to 'take the plunge'. I've been to Disney many times and this is the first I've learned of the vouchers (I know...what planet have I been on?) I signed up for the Hotwire Savings Club and ordered some vouchers. Now, my concern...I never received a confirmation e-mail. Am I worrying over nothing or is this a legit. concern? I'm one who prints out EVERYTHING concerning an online transaction and they sure didn't give me much. What have your experiences been with them and am I worrying over nothing?

Hotwire actually has very good customer service. Why don't you call them?

I know, I guess I should call them. I think I've gotten so used to doing things over 'the net' and not actually having to speak to a 'real' person. No wonder teenagers now a days don't have real friends...just 'cyber friends'.

Do they normally send out a confirmation e-mail? My $10 Cash Back form says I need a copy of my confirmation e-mail or confirmation page.

From what I saw regarding that $10 Cash Back, you probably won't get it. I say that because, as I read it, it is $10 against purchases from Hotwire.com, not the Hotwire shopping club which is what you signed up for.

I may be way off the mark on this one, but that is the way I read it. I just signed up last Tuesday. I had my certs on Saturday. They are very quick!

I joined Hotwire on 9/8 and never received an e-mail either. I called about a week later and they gave me my customer number so I could order off the web. I just talked to them today regarding status of an order and asked why I never received an e-mail or anything in the mail. I was told an e-mail was sent to me on 9/9 but nothing would be sent in the mail as I had access to the web. I'm sure that my computer rejected it as we have a spam filter on and it doesn't let a lot of things through. You should just call them and they should be able to give you your customer number so you can then look around and order.

I did receive my membership e-mail with my number within 30 minutes of joining. It just doesn't 'feel right' not to receive an e-mail after I make a purchase. All the other sites which I've made ressies and purchases from have sent one. I guess I will call them to 'ease my mind'. (My 5 year old daughter wanted me to put this)

I contacted Hotwire's Savings Club and they appoligized for the confusion. Seems they DO NOT send out confirmation e-mails for orders. They DO have a record of my order...whew. What a load off my mind! And as stated before, they do have good customer service. Thanks to all who replied.

I have used Hotwire Savings Club several times now and always get a confirmation e-mail, however the first e-mail I got from them went to my junk mail folder. Once I told Hotmail that it was not junk mail, I've received the e-mail every time. I usually get the certificates within 2 days (I do live in Omaha where they're headquartered, but that still means they get them in the mail immediately.)

I am happy to say I got my vouchers TODAY!! A little over 24 hours after I ordered them. Came Airborne Express. Wow, talk about fast! I joined the Savings Club on Monday, placed my order on Tuesday, and received my vouchers on Wednesday...I'm impressed!

Same story. I joined the 30 day free trial membership on Sunday. Placed my order Monday. Received my order on Thursday via Airborne Express. Now I've cancelled the free trial membership. It all seems too easy!
