I used hotwire last year and was very pleased with the Holiday Inn select. However, if I had a chance of the airport Hyatt I would like to try for that, just not pay the exorbitant rack rate. Their is currently a 3 1/2 star airport area hotel for $56 without a shuttle icon. Any opinions as to what hotel this may be? It is listed as a customer favorite so I am sure it is very nice.

Go to Betterbidding.com they have a thread about what hotel that might be.

We did priceline and got the Renissance for $42. I am happy with what I got.

Good luck

thanks. I thought that the Crowne Plaza had been listed as a possibility. I couldn't locate this post. Will probably hold out for a while and observe.

Using some GREAT advice from a fellow DISer, last November I was able to get the MCO Hyatt for $24 (+ $9.95 processing fee) for our night-before-the-cruise stay on 7/16/04! To say I was thrilled, is a HUGE understatement. I'm really surprised I didn't wake my husband up with all my hootin' and hollerin'!!

dznyacct, which online booking site did you use to get that great rate!

I got that GREAT rate using Hotwire. Another DIS memeber had posted what icons (3 1/2 stars, food, pool, weight room, business center and tennis) were showing up to indicate that it was The Hyatt. I knew I was taking a chance, but for $24 I was willing to risk it. It was last November when I did this, so I don't know if the icons I listed are still a good indication that it is The Hyatt. Good luck to anyone trying for The Hyatt! We'll be there 9 weeks from today!!

I got the same for my date but i don't believe it's the Hyatt. I wondered if it might be because of the lack of the shuttle icon but i looked at the reviews and they like it alot and said the shuttle arrived quickly. I'm still waiting. I have a question for those that got the Hyatt how many months before your trip did you find these rates on Hotwire as i'm wondering if i'm tring to book to soon.

Keep in mind that the Hyatt doesn't need a shuttle since it is directly inside the airport.

We paid $66 (total including all fees and such) for the Sheraton Suites via hotwire. Very nice hotel and everything worked out well, but i still wish i could have gotten myself a better deal.

When we used hotwire, and chose the 3+ star rating near MCO, we got Crowne Plaza rather than the Hyatt as we had hoped.

I don't think Hyatt is partner of Hotwire anymore - they are not on their participating hotel partner list. Last fall when we got MCO Hyatt, they were
listed then.

We are also going to be looking for a hotel near the airport for our night-before-the-cruise and was wondering how to go about doing this with our big group.

We need 6 rooms and we would like free shuttle service and a complimentary continental breakfast and non-smoking rooms - how would we go about getting a nice hotel for the night?
