Hey there, just wondering if anyone has any experience selling or trading a hotwire hot rate hotel? I know it's suppose to be non transferable, but I'm wondering if that's 100% true. I have heard of sites like Cancellon and RoomerTravel.com But after reading some reviews I'm not high on those sites.
Is there any way that two people could just call the hotel and switch the names on the reservation when it was booked thru hotwire? Just wondering if anyone has had any luck doing anything like that.
And then there is the matter of the rooms. I'm wondering if anyone could use the rooms we have (if a name switch is even possible) We have a two adult two child reservation for four nights Oct 30th thru Nov 2, checking out the morning of the 3rd. It's at The Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort, and we just want out of it what we paid. Roughly $350.00 including taxes and fees.
I don't know if anything is possible, but I thought I'd ask the experts here at The Dis.
If we can't trade or sell it we'll still use it. Our daughter plays competitive club league volleyball, and this room was booked months ago before any schedules came out, not knowing that her final game would fall during this trip. So if nothing can be done as far as switching names on the room, we'll figure it out.
Anyone have any ideas?
