Hotwire car reservation change?!

I think I already know the answer to this, but our flights went down and we can now fly out at noon instead of 9am which with 2 kids along would be much easier for me. But I had already put the return time for the car rental as 8:30. Has anyone ever been able to add a day or a few hours to a car reservation from Hotwire that is already paid in full?

Most car rental companies run on a day by day 24 hour basis. If having the car different hours would mean putting you into another 24 hour period it may make your rate go up. I would call and speak to the company. I had a rental that had to get moved because of a flight delay and the company worked it all out with me instead of me going through Hotwire. Good luck!
