Hi everyone,
I'm sure someone has posted a thread like this already, but I am looking for a hotel that is within walking distance of Disneyland. I don't want to have to worry about the hassle of parking there. There will only be two of us, my sister and I, so it can be small. Inexpensive is always good. :) But I want it to have the breakfast that comes with it if possible. So far I have been thinking Best Western, Candy Cane Inn, or Alpine Inn. I have no idea if any of these are good though... :confused3 Any suggestions? Thank you so much!

I just finished posting on the other post about hotels close to disneyland. South Harbour hotels most of them are within walking distance. you can actually view them on google street view. we stayed at Park Vue Inn. it's right beside the cross walk to the shuttle entrance and security gates to the park.

Nice rooms, free parking, breakfast daily, social hour in the evening, great staff, pool and hot tub. I reccomend this hotel highly!

CCI is pretty good. PinkBugie did a nice trip report including lots of picture and info about it.

Alpine inn is not very well liked but it's small and there aren't many people reporting on it.

BW is really close.

I would consider if you want breakfast, free or not at the hotel, and if you will be making the walk twice a day to have a break or just once.

You can click the link in my sig to see my review of CCI this summer. We really liked it and hope to stay there again next summer.

Just got back from 3 nights at the Tropicana! Very clean, nice pool and hot tub, basic free breakfast in an (donuts, coissants, apples, oranges, tea, coffee). It took a total of 3 to 5 minutes of walking to make it to the main gate. We were very happy with it!

Park Vue Inn has a hot breakfast now. We are planning a trip in November, and we haven't stayed yet, but reservations told me they have basic continental, plus waffles, pancakes and cheese omelettes.

disney4cam beware that the omlettes have processed cheese in them...otherwise they had waffles you make fresh, toast and bagels, yogurt milk cereal, fruit salad and fruits as well as bacon, sausages and pancakes. it's quite a nice selection for breakfast.

They also have a social hour from 5-7 in the evenings where they serve a small meal (sliders or baby hot dogs, nachos, tacos encheladas, salad, soup and juice/water) we saved a ton not eating much in the parks and had our afternoon break from 4-6 so we would get to swim, eat and relax before heading back to the parks for evening fun!

Ew, thanks for the tip. I'll be skipping the omelettes. At least there are other good choices.

I wish I had known this 4 months ago when I was deciding between Park Vue and Anaheim Desert Inn. We have stayed at Park Vue before and we quite pleased with the room, but they did not have these offerings. We decided to try ADI this time for the suite. Now I wish we had gone with PV.
