I'm looking for hotels with great pools for kids other than the Nickelodean (but the pools must be heated!!!...we're going in the middle of October for 6 nights)

Last year we stayed onsite at the Polynesian and the kids loved the waterfall and waterslide but I want something cheaper this year!!

I've been contemplating the following but I don't really want to spend $200 a night:

Gaylord Palms...the rates vary...$254 over the weekend for 3 nights and $129 mousavers rate for 3 nights

Radisson Resort Orlando...$89 a night but pool is not heated:sad2:

Hyatt Cypress at $199 a night

Omni Orlando at $203 a night

Please Help!:confused3

We loved the Gaylord Palms pool -but there was no life guard -or even much in the way of staff around the pool.
Also at the Gaylord you pay for parking and a "resort fee"

My girls said the water was warm and the slide was awesome

We loved the Omni

- the pools there are great and the hotel is surprisingly very kids focused ! Lots of activities and little perks for them.... as well as the parents.

Make sure your breakfast is included in your deal as it is fantastic (but expensive if not in your package !).

Quite honestly we thought the Omni was better for facilities and service than any Disney hotel we'd stayed at or visited !!

The Trip Advisor ratings speak for themselves !!

However, if you want a great pool, and if you can get a good deal on a private condo, then you should look at the Ginn Reunion resort - its is definitely the best in town !

We have stayed at the Hyatt Grand Cypress as well as JW Marriott Grande Lakes. Both are fabulous ! The Hyatt also gives you use of sailboats, paddleboats, and other water type craft (non powered), as well as bikes and a great slide. JW Marriott has a great lazy river type pool, outdoor huge chess set, various ball sports, even saw scuba diving in the pool one morning. Also can use Ritz pool - which we didn't because the JW was best ! Have seen sales recently at JW on Marriott site as well as a greast sale at Hyatt. There is also a real nice pool complex at Marriott Orlando World Center which you may want to consider if the price is right.

I would love to stay at any of the hotels you have mentioned and will keep looking for deals for mid October. I haven't seen any yet. The rack rates are just too high!

Are the pools heated?

The Omni looks great but I've heard the pool is cold. We'll be there in mid-October so I'm thinking we need a heated pool.:confused3

It was fine for us in February, plenty warm enough.....but then we British are a hardy lot !

Check out Orange Lake. It is a condo complex but is incredible. The pools are all amazing. Don't know the temps, never seemed too cold. Also not sure of the prices because we always did a timeshare exchange. The website is www.orangelake.com
