Hotels Super Expensive?

Our family is going to be in Paris and I thought it would be fun to go to Disney Paris for the day. I looked into booking a hotel room there and could not believe the prices!! So much more than Disney World- and we usually stay at the AKL!

Is this a normal thing or am I looking at the wrong websites?!

where are you looking? if its on the official Disneyland Paris website, try changing the country to the UK or France (other regions). This might give you very different prices, as different countries get different offers.

Also, 30th April was the end date for a lot of offers, so hang off for a week or so, see what the offers are then .

You could also check Expedia for prices, they sell onsite room only, and rooms with park tickets included.

Rooms are sold differently at Disneyland Paris. They include your park tickets and breakfast.

With that said, they are stupidly expensive. They price the hotels artificially hight so that they can offer big discounts. It's often a case of waiting for the right sale.

The UK site tends to have more sale's than the US site so it's worth looking on there. Rooms are normally 25% off + kids free.

Even with the sale prices I think they're far too expensive for what you get. The Hotel New York is the prime example. The rooms are well out of date but they charge 5 star prices.

You get much better value booking through an agent at one of the partner hotels.

I'd much rather they priced them like they do at WDW.

You're not reading it wrong. It's very expensive compared to WDW.

2 weeks at AKL cost us the same to what 3 nights at the DLH would have cost us! And AKL is of a much higher standard than the Disneyland Hotel.

But like others have said the DLRP prices do include your park tickets and breakfast.

The only reason I pay the DLRP prices is because flights to Orlando are so expensive at the moment that this year it's our only chance of a Disney fix.
