Anyone ever stay here? I am specifically looking at Hampton Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, or Holiday Inn Express. We would need a hotel just for one night before checking into Port Orleans Riverside. Are there any restaurants within walking distance of these hotels? I think Downtown Disney or the Crossroads are a short drive away? We always stay on Disney property, so this is new territory to explore.

Can't speak to those hotels BUT we've stayed at the Hawthorne Suites on Palm - and it was NOT within walking distance (for us anyway) :confused3 - you could walk but it would be quite a haul.....

Yes it is very easy/quick drive to DTD and Crossroads - and Palm Pkwy itself is very easy to get in/out and navigate around. :yay: I think you'll be happy with the choice to use a Palm Pkwy hotel/motel!

There are a bunch of restaurants in the area. Directly across the street in a shopping center is a japanese restaurant, a Hooters, probably not what you had in mind. There are a bunch of others in that general vacinity but I am way too spoiled to walk.

You should check out the Hiton Parc Soleil. Nice, we are going back again! :thumbsup2

We like the Clarion Inn - nice location and great hotel. You can book through travel zoo for the spring for about $50.00/night.

I've stayed at Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista on Palm Pkwy twice--I love it there. Driving to Hooters (I like their wings!!!) or the Orlando Ale House was very quick and easy. Nice area.

I'd go with the Courtyard by Marriott. Best location/price/room ration, IMO.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Palm Parkway. It is very nice with a big breakfast room. There is an Olive Garden close, I drove, but you could walk. I am trying the Clarion next time, just because I got a great rate!

I have stayed at the Clarion inn twice.1st time great,2nd time hoards of unsupervised teenagers causing havoc banging on doors in the early hours and running wild,so very tiring. However,as long as you don`t have your trip when there is a big event involving thousands of teenagers from all over the world ,I would recommend it.It was very reasonably priced, clean, comfortable with large rooms and friendly security guys at the drive in entrance to the hotel.i wouldn`t say it was walking distance to eat `though, but is close to crossroads to drive.

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn and Hawthorn Suites on Palm Parkway. I thought the area was quiet. The Winn Dixie was a short drive away - I liked that - and Crossroads a short drive but I didn't really walk to anything. I really liked the Hampton Inn - good breakfast and microwave a fridge in the room - and a good rate to boot.

Oh as a side note the Lynx #50 bus goes every half hour to DTD/MK TandT and to Seaworld in the other direction - $2 per person and very convenient.

We stayed at the Quality Suites on Palm Pkwy & had a one bedroom with two queen beds & sleeper sofa in the living room. It had a small kitchen & free breakfast, but the furniture was dated. We got a great deal of $56 a night in 2011, but haven't seen that price this year.

The downside for us is that you are not within walking distance to anything! That is a deal breaker for us because we love to explore & can't stand being stuck in a room. This year we are staying at Old Town in Kissimmee (Comfort Suites Maingate), just because of this.

We have stayed at the Hampton Inn, nice clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good.
