Hotels on Palm Parkway -- rush hour traffic?

We're staying at Comfort Suites LBV on Palm Parkway in October.

Do you know if the route to the parks would be hitting any rush hour traffic in the mornings, or is there no big difference in traffic between first thing in the morning, mid-day, etc? Just wanting to make sure we're giving ourselves enough time.

Thanks!

If you're going to Disney...just take Palm Parkway to a left on Apopka-Vineland and then a right on Disney property. It will take you by Downtown Disney and you can go from there. The Crossroads area is always busy since it's all tourists down there so there is always traffic. You shouldn't have any major delays unless there is an accident or something.

and if going to Universal, do NOT go on I-4, you will hit traffic. Make a right out onto Palm Parkway & follow that all the way up. It will become Turkey Lake Road. Follow that until you get to Hollywood Way near Dr Philps High School and make a right. That will lead you into Universal's parking lot..:goodvibes stay away from I-4 :thumbsup2 Staying at that Comfort Inn makes commuting to either of the Theme Parks so easy..

oh and if you want Sea World, follow the instructions for Universal, but at the first traffic light you come to you will see a sign saying I-4 & Sea World, make a right and follow that straight...(don't get on I-4) can't miss it..

Thanks! That answers my question, plus gives me directions...which I was going to need anyway!

All good suggestions. You're so close to the gate at Disney that traffic will be a minor issue.

Has anyone ever used the complimentary shuttle the hotel offers?

I'm going w/ my teenage daughter and money is really, really tight. So I need to save money where I can and if I can avoid parking fees, that would help tremendously.

I have never used their shuttle but I will tell you that every time I have seen people waiting for it, it is a very long line. So many do use it, and I would suggest getting on line early for a seat :goodvibes

There's a great shortcut to MK when you stay on Palm Pkwy. Go through the light on Palm (instead of turning left to head to DTD). Then you turn left at the Disney CM softball fields. Eventually you end up passing by the entrance to Ft. Wilderness, then on to parking at the TTC (although you do have to make a u-turn to do this). Saves a lot of time if headed to the MK, plus no traffic at all to deal with.

Another tip: go the other direction on Palm and eventually you'll get to a nice new WalMart. Great if you need to buy groceries or whatever.

Thanks for the tip....there's Walmart! Right there and didn't even know it.

Will be here for 8 more nights...so any more tips- keep 'em comin'.

Yep, that is the cleaner Wal-Mart, you pass it when going to Universal, but not when going to SeaWorld... you would be making your right before hand for SeaWorld... so if heading there & you see the Wally World, you went too far...:thumbsup2

Yup...at the traffic light at the corner of Palm Parkway and Central Florida Parkway, Palm Parkway turns into Turkey Lake Road. The Super Walmart is on TLR just past Dr. Phillips Hospital...it's on the left hand side of the road.
