Hi everyone,
I am looking at getting a "3 star" like the Holiday Inn or Doubletree on I-Drive for a couple cheap nights where we will be gone all day. I know that a lot at this price range don't have good reviews but are they okay at least? I mean, we will be gone all day and just want to have somewhere cheap to crash for a couple nights of our stay.

I am also concerned about parking fees in some places since we will have a car.

Please advise!!

If you stick to a good brand hotel you should be allright.I stay on International Drive like 90% of the time. There's plenty of good hotels in the area.Stick to the area south of Sand Lake rd closer to the Convention center,it's nicer and has better hotels.

Can you recommend one, for a family of five JUST to sleep for one night. I love cheap, but DH will not enjoy a dump (even for one night).
We are flying into Sanford late, so it will be really late before we get settled in anywhere.

Don´t stay at the Best Western International!

What about the Holiday Inn's and Doubletrees? I am asking because I am thinking of bidding online at Hotwire.

Also, how often did you run into having to pay for parking?

Thanks guys!

Hawthorne Suites on Canada Avenue right I-Drive is good stay at. It sleeps six people and has a Orlando Magic Rate of 99.00 dollars a night. it's clean and comes with free hot breakfast. I has plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

I've used Hotwire many times and the last hotels I've gotten were Homewood suites close to Pointe Orlando, the Hyatt Place by Universal and the Comfort Suites which isn't on I-Drive but on Turkey Lake rd. on the other side of I-4,they're good hotels for the price you pay on Hotwire. As far as paying for parking,NEVER have I paid for parking !!!

if I am looking at their site, is their a code for the orlando magic rate? Like magic or something? How do six people fit, two queens and a sofa bed? and, continental breakfast or better?

2 people per bed. You have to call the hotel get Orlando Magic Card Rate. There free breakfast is hot breakfast. They serve eggs, oatmeal, bacon, waffles, pancakes and fruit and juice. They rotate the hot items everyday. A one bedroom can easily fit 6 people in there it's huge. You can't book this rate on line. I have to you have call to get the rate.

So there are rooms with three beds?
THe magic card is free, right?

If it's a suite and sleeps six it's probably 2 beds and a pull out sofabed.

I booked on hotwire and got the Sheraton Studio City for $52/night and it was really nice. I limited my search to the Universal area and picked a 3*. There was no charge for parking.

where is the comfort suites turkey lake close too????? I got a good deal from hot wire for 35 a nite...cant seem to picture it in my mind...

It's on the stretch between Sand Lake Road and the intersection with Central Florida Parkway. The hotel is next to the hospital, a pretty short distance from the new WalMart.
