We have a 4 mo old pup that we're going to need to bring with us for a 1 day little trip the DL. We live 2 hours away and an opportunity opened for us to make a quick trip of it. We haven't been able to arrange for care back at home for him and planned to use the Kennels at DL. But where should I make ressies for that night? We don't mind a tiny drive...and how much is parking? tnx!

There are probably other hotels that allow pets, but the only one I know of for sure is the Hilton. We aren't bringing our dog, but I saw that information on their website when we booked. I think parking is $15, but I am not certain as we aren't driving. I know this information is minimal, but I hope it is a start. Enjoy that time with your new puppy! :dog:

Once upon a time I had a site bookmarked for OC hotels, etc that allowed dogs - I can't find it! Try googling - I did find some I just don't know if they're what you want.

On a side note - have you driven w/ the puppy much? When we got ours we did the same thing...we drove fore 2 hrs & brought him at 3mos of age bc we couldn't leave him in his crate all day (out of town pumpkin patch) - the poor puppy gets carsick & we found out the hard way!!! He's almost 10 mos old now & is still deathly scared of going in the car! :sad2: If you haven't already - go on some practice runs!!! It's hard to have fun when you're worried about the pup!

I think the Anaheim Plaza does but I think they have a non refundable $75 cleaning fee.....I never travel with my dogs so I can't say for sure tho. :)

Thanks everyone!

The Red Lion looks like a great option with only a $20 a day fee for the pup! Looks like it's across the street too. Military rate is only 94!

La Quinta Inn is always pet-friendly, and there is no extra charge. The only thing is, you can't leave your pet in the room. But you can bring them to the kennel at DL for the day. The only one I know of is in Costa Mesa, about 15-20 min away, but you can search on the net and see if there is one in Anaheim or Fullerton. You will need to drive anyways because you can't take the pets on the shuttle.

I came in here to tell you about the Red Lion, but I was beat to it! But here's something even better - if you sign up for their Red Lion club thing (like a frequent flyer thing), the puppy gets to stay free! And the club is free to sign up for!

We stayed there a couple weeks ago and were really impressed. Totally refurb'd hotel.

The Residence Inn in Garden Grove does. It was a very nice stay for us when we took our dogs.

Hey thanks! I just posted about this in my "going El Cheapo" thread here! I sort of muddled my way through it and found out about this!!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

There's a La Quinta, it's on Katella and not what I would consider walkable but it is close. :)

OP don't forget you'll need to kennel your pup at DL, that will be $20 a day you will need to go back to the kennel (really just crates) to make sure she has food, water and gets out to go potty, otherwise she will have to sit in her soiled crate until you get back.
