Hotels near Syracuse Airport

We're going to be flying out of Syracuse airport for our trip in December (love those Southwest fares!). Was wondering if there are any hotels there that offer free parking while you're away if you stay for the night before your trip, as at so many other hotel airports? And if not, are there any recommendations for hotels around the airport? Special fares I should know about. Thanks all for your amazing help as always!

We always stay at the Best Western right at the airport.

The park n' fly rate is $89 USD. Call directly because the special doesn't show up on the toll free #. Their shuttle bus will drop you off at the departures and pick you up when you return. It takes 1 min.

The Best Western at the airport is also known as Syracuse Airport Inn at Syracuse Hancock International Airport.

With sales tax and occupancy tax the total comes out to almost $100 USD but we always find it worthwhile because of the big savings for our family of 4 to fly out of the U.S. instead of out of Ottawa.

p.s. when did Southwest start flying out of Syracuse? Is that direct?
It's always been Transmeridian, United or US Airways.

Thanks for the info on the Best Western I called them direct and it appears their rate has gone up, as they quoted me $95 for a park and fly. They also told me they'll only guarantee me 7 nights parking (and we're going to be gone longer than that). After 7 nights, if they need the space, they apparently move your car into a pay parking lot which charges a rate of $6/day. But he said they only do that if they absolutely need the space.

Anyway, haven't booked it yet, since availability is wide open. I think I'll call a couple of the other airport hotels to check also.

And by the way, had a bit of a brain melt there on the airline. It wasn't Southwest, it was JetBlue, which is the big discount airline that flies out of Syracuse lately (their hub airport is NYC/JFK).

There are a few other hotels just south of the airport but I can't remember which ones. Some had a park n'fly and others had no idea what I was talking about. They are still just on the north end of the city so good for avoiding downtown Syracuse.

Have never heard about that parking policy, most likely because we've never parked longer than 7 days. When in Dec. are you going? If it's around Christmas, I could see the lot getting busy. When we go in Nov. there is always lots of parking.
