We need to find a hotel near St Pancras to stay the night before we travel. I've tried searching the board but can't find any recommendations even though I remember reading something not so long ago. Can anyone help ? thanks :)

I can't give you a recomendation for this hotel because I haven't actually stayed there yet, but for our trip in September we've booked the night before at the Euston Station Travelodge, which is only a 5 minute walk from St. Pancras (even with heavy suitcases!). Even better we got it for just £50, though that might have been a special deal because the hotel had only just opened when we booked it back in April - current prices may be different.

I've stayed at both the King's Cross Travelodges and they're both within very easy walking distance from St. Pancras. :) The closest is the King's Cross one but the King's Cross Royal Scot isn't too much further away and usually has better prices! In fact we're staying there next Monday prior to our DLRP trip and it's costing us £29 for a double room. :thumbsup2 I've stayed there three or four times now and every time it's been perfectly adequate.

Try any of the Travelodge, Travel Inn or Ibis hotel websites - search by location and then you can find all the availability nearby.

At short notice try lastminute.com or laterooms.com - both have occasional great deals (you do have to search though)

The Euston travelodge is absolutely fine, we've stayed there a couple of times.

hi there when we go in november i think we are going to stay at the camden lock holiday inn it is about 1.5 miles from the station and we though we would get up and grab a cab to the station in the morning as it wont cost too much we will skip the rushhour people and also its pricey on the underground if you travel before 9.30 am and dont have the hassle of dragging luggage and confused children (coz they still dont know).....
i am getting so excited but i dont know if its for the kids or us lol

vicki xxxx

We stayed at the Kings Cross Royal Scot. It is a travelodge we payed £50 for a family room . I t was clean very comfortable for the 4 of us had tea and coffee making in the room. We could have had a breakfast in the hotel in the morning but we were so excited we just ate our cereal bars i took and made a
drink.

The night we stayed Phil went out and got a Mcdonalds from round the corner.
The morning we left we had a good shower with lovely towels and we could have got a taxi but decided to walk to St Pancras as Phili said when he went for food on the night time it was only a 10 min walk.
H e was right very easy and we will use that hotel again.

when we go in january we are going from Ashford so just looking for the same type of hotel.

booked the Travel Lodge at Euston, the family rooms look nice and it was only £69 :)

we have booked the kings cross travelodge, costing us £40 for a 3 bed room before we go and £95 for the same room on the day we come home!!

didn't fancy driving home after a full day at the resort, ,then the train!!!

i have stayed in the travelodge farringdon before, it is quite "old" but it was clean and cheap.
