Hotels near Port? Please help :)

My Fiance and I are getting married on board a cruise and our family and friends are also coming on the trip. I have all of my guests (about 25) flying in, and or arriving by car, January 7th and the ship leaves January 8th.

I was going to have everyone stay at the Hyatt Regency at the Orlando Airport because it would be very easy for everyone to fly in, check in at the airport and then the next day take a shuttle to the port... Until I saw the prices!

Can anyone suggest a Hotel near Port Canaveral that may have a free shuttle to the port and has reasonable rates? Most of my guests are flying in from all over the world and I dont think they want to rent cars... I am trying to make this as easy as possible for them and me (the stressing bride).

The only hotel near the port with its own shuttle is the Radisson in Cape Canaveral. Several other hotels offer park/cruise packages where they contract out the shuttle part to a third party.

Keep in mind that many of these hotels are closed right now to repair from damage inflicted by Hurricane Frances, but they ought to all be back up and running by the time of your trip.

We love the radisson..but, you probably won't get away for less than around $100 or a little more per night. You may want to call them directly..since you have so many people and see if they will give you a group rate/special deal...shuttles ready to go for you the next morning..etc.

We stayed there before both cruises. Very beautiful pool area to just hang out with everyone. Great for spot for pictures too. Very tropical. We ended up staying for $79 per night last October. They may have some good rates coming up. Look like Florida will need tourist to come back to the state after all these storms.

Compilmentary shuttle was great!
