Hotels near Orlando Airport

Has anyone stayed at the Country Inn on Forbes Place near Orlando Airport? We are thinking about staying near the airport for the night when we fly in so we can take a town car directly to the port the next morning.

Also, being from Australia, we're not too sure what your family restaurant chains are like. Are there any family restaurants around the airport area that you would recommend?

Welcome to the DIS. We've got a great forum dedicated to Orlando hotels. I'm going to move your post there and I'm sure you'll get some great answers.

There's a Denny's near the airport. We've eaten breakfast there before we've driven to the port for cruises too. They have huge breakfasts available. There are also chain restaurants like TGIFridays where you can get burgers, fajitas, wraps, and salads.

The drive to Port Canaveral is easy.

I'm sure others will chime in with more suggestions.

There's an Embassy Suites near the airport (MCO).

Included are cocktails in the evening (5:00 - 7:00 PM, I think) and free cooked to order breakfast in the mornings.

It's probably more than other hotels, but the cocktails/breakfast may make it worthwhile.
