Has anyone stayed at the Alpine Inn near Disneyland? We are headed out for our first trip and looked at the Annabella but the price at the Alpine Inn was too good to pass up. But, now I'm nervous. Is it ok, close, safe, clean? Any insite or suggestions would be great, we are a 1 yr old, and two adults that will be sharing the room.

The Alpine Inn is a small, family owned motel. It is older and in need of a little refurb, but it is clean and the staff is friendly. I would have no problem staying here, nor would I have a problem letting my kids stay here.

I was just reading about them on trip advisor. It seemed to have decent reviews. Let us know what you think if you stay there and how the walk is (if you are planning on walking).

We are planning on walking so I will keep you posted on that front. I figured it was a small and older family place which is fine with us. I just wanted to make sure it was clean and safe! Anyone else been there?

I've walked past it a few times - seems like a decent place, right across Katella from the Convention Center. You'll have a bit of a walk up Harbor to DL. Or you can get to DLH/DGC/DTD by walking west on Katella and north on Disneyland Drive. Here's the street view: http://g.co/maps/rbeaz

We stayed there with our two year old and it was fine. Not anything fancy, but it was clean and we felt safe. The pool isn't anything spectacular, and you have to pay for ice, which we thought was weird. They have packaged danishes in the morning, which we did not have for breakfast, but instead picked some up every morning for snacks in the park. The walk is a little long, especially after a long day. I would stay there again.

The walk: as long as everyone's happy to walk it should be fine. I stayed at the Ramada on the west side of Harbor, along Katella, and walked over to downtown disney (which means we walked up Harbor and into the esplanade, then through to DTD instead of going to the parks...I explain this just to say I didn't go a way one wouldn't go, if going to the main entrance to get to the parks) and it was fine. And the walk was busy-busy and filled with other tourists, even later at night.

I stayed there a couple of years ago & found it to be ok except for the bed, which was old and rock-hard :headache: But then, I have a really bad back, so what's bad for me might be ok for others. The room I was in was pretty small and in need of an update ("Totally 80s" decor ahoy pirate: :rotfl:) but for the price & on such short notice ('surprise!' 2 day summer trip; everything else that wasn't either a scary No Tell Motel or an expensive penthouse suite was booked solid) it was ok.
