Hotels in Ocala, FL

Driving from Louisiana and we want to stop 3-4 hours from WDW. Can anyone recommend a clean and safe hotel in Ocala?

Ocala is only an hour to 90 minutes from Disney. I would look for a different city.

There is a Holiday Inn Express in Live Oak, Florida. That is 3-4 hours before Disney.

As PP mentioned, Ocala is only about 80 miles from Disney. Gainesville or Lake City (2 hours and 2.5 hours north respectively) would be better. You don't mention when you are coming, but if you are driving on a weekend in the fall check the UF football schedule first as all hotels in that area will be sold out or very expensive.

Given how close Ocala is to Orlando, I'd stop in Lake City, Florida at either the Fairfield Inn or Holiday Inn. Both are clean and modern, I've stayed at both, most recently the Fairfield.
